Redrum 0
2-5 limit holdem at casino rama.Anyone played in this game?I know, I know you're thinking: '2-5 limit and you can't beat it. You my friend suck the bag.'maybe I do so flame away, but how do you beat an 11-12 handed game where preflop everyone throws in there 2 bucks, it usually won't get raised, and they play like they are playing a slot machine. People just keep calling. And I know this sounds like a good thing. and I understand suckouts happen, and happen often at low limit holdem.Once I found the gme is full of stations I decide to tighten up and play only the decent starting hands (not like people notice how anyone else plays anyway) or when I'm priced into a hand. Didn't work. I'm not going to start going over crap beats or anythng but other than tightening up, how would you go about trying to turn a profit.is it even worth playing other than for the sake of playing poker? BigEasy6 0
Enough said. Well, maybe not. If you always have 7 players seeing a flop and 4 going to the river, you will not beat the game. It is a complete crapshoot. Nevermind. My name is... and I used to believe this. This type of game does require tighter pre-flop requirements. However, your post flop decisions will be most critical. Tighten up on the kinds of flops you go forward with. ie two pair, trips , huge draws, you need to have lots of patience and understanding. Good luck
AlphaOmega 0
how would you go about trying to turn a profit. -Suited Connectors and Sets-No bluffing
looshle 6
I'd actually be inclined to play more hands than usual due to the fact that you have extremly good implied odds and hopefully a better postflop strategy than everyone else at the table.
semaj550 0
My advice?Play premium hands, play them agressively. Force people to define their strong hands and pay a horribly incorrect price for their draws. Play straightforward, bet your good hands, fold your poor ones and forget about bluffing. Bet for value often. Also, have a bankroll and the peace of mind to handle the swings. If you are a good player in a loose game your roll will increase over time but there are going to be larger and more frequent variations. You need to anticipate and prepare for these. TML28 0
Suited connectors suited 1 gapers, anything that plays well in a multi way pot. Play aggressively and force the competition to make decisions.
TheCinciKid 0
Read SSHE by Miller, Malmuth and Sklansky a few times and adjust your play accordingly. If you do so, you will crush this game in the long run, though you can expect to have some pretty big swings as well.
Silly_11 0
Practice poker on a low limit site for .01/.02 and when you start making money there then TP/MM.
Silly_11 0
Actually that SSHE tip is really about the best tip possible. It is profitable... very profitable. And I was serious about the practicing at the low limit online tables and then playing there... you'll make $$.
