I just loaded $285 onto full tilt. I will be playing 10 dollar sit n gos and 6 dollar token sit n gos. I am going to try and build it up. What do you guys recommend for amount of buy ins for sit n gos. When I drop to 150, should I start doing 5 dollar sit n gos? I am down to 230 right now. Should I move to 5 dollar sit n gos now? Can I play cash games, or is it not worth it with this little money. I would assume I can only play .05/.10 nl. I know you guys are wondering why I posted this and I know about the search function.Basically, I want any advice you guys have on trying to build this up. Any thing you guys recommend would be very helpful and greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and I am asking for you guys not to flame me for anything because I am being serious. If you guys have a flame, go ahead and PM me it, I just don't want this post cluttered with them. Also, if there are questions you want answered that you need to give more rational advice, please ask them.

Rakeback helps ;)But I would think you've got enough for $10 SnG's as long as you don't suck it up :)BTW, is full tilt acting funny for you? Cause it is for me, not loading right.

The past couple days it has been actually. I don't know if it's my computer or the system. For example, it takes forever to load sit n gos and tournaments. Also, when I open up some sit n gos, it doesn't show how many are left, it just shows how many people entered. Weird. Thanks for the advice, I forgot to mention in my OP, I suck it up! :club:

Sounds different from mine at the moment. When I load it up, the screen never full pops up, I can see the table information, but everything else is all scrambled, and when I opened a table it's all green in the background. Looks like when your computer lags, and if you put something over it, the picture of that gets stuck in the frozen program... know what i mean? It's doing that, but my computer is working fine.

What kind of success have you had in the past with 10+1 sngs? If you have besn struggling lately I would drop down to the 5+.50's for awhile. I also play on full tilt, I play 1/2 NL SH but im not too good at following proper bankroll management...I would stick to 10+1 sng's if your running decent, or 5+.50 sngs if you think you need to tune up your game or are running bad, maybe throw in a little .25/.50, but I wouldn't step up any higher in limits untill your bankroll is sufficient enough to withstand some variance....good luckyou can find me on ftp as PhishLips if you ever want to watch me play....(not that i am any good or anything)

MikeJohnson,Sounds like you have a good plan. When I started my bankroll here at school 3 weeks ago. I put $50 into pokerstars. I have been grinding it out since then on the 10/25 cent NLHE tables and occasionally on the 1/25 cent PLO tables. I usually play only one table at a time. I am very careful at table selection, finding those I know or those whom I dont want to tangle with. I play around 4 hrs a day or as school permits me. I do not play too mch on weekends as I go home or go to the live games in NY. I win a little bit at a time have built that into about 1100 since the semester began.
