chrozzo 19
I know this should be in strategy, but since there was no strategy done on my part, i posted it here.IM at the Seneca Allegany Casino last night at 1/2 NL table. I have $230 in front of me and am on SB. BB has $150, MP has $200. I look down at 2 2 . It limps to me, and I call BB, BB checks for the flop. Flop comes 2 2 A . Im loving this flop obviously, and I check hoping someone caught their ace. BB bets out 20, MP goes all in, I call, BB calls. Turn is K River is 8 BB has AK, MP has AA and I take down a $560 pot. alster10 0
I get this sick pleasure when I hear stories about people slowplaying their monster hands like aces and kings preflop and get burned like that.

Second, even with my call on the flop they were both all in and I had them covered, and theres no way in hell I was goona fold this. But obviously your comment was a joke. Well done. alster10 0
My point was that if MP raised, then our forum member might have folded his pocket 2s since he is out of position. MP made a risky play not raising pre flop and got burned on the flop.

MP made a risky play not raising pre flop and got burned on the flop.yeah, i will limp with rockets anytime anywhere if i can be guaranteed to flop a boat. i mean cmon, its not like he got burned by a guy with 6-2 hittin 2 pair on the flop. he flopped the second stone cold nuts, and it just so happened that someone there had him beat. he didn't get burned because he didn't raise. unless he raises ridiculous, bb is going to protect with a small pp to see a flop. just so happened someone flopped quads on his house. shit happens
alster10 0
I understand your point but my strategy is that if you have a hand like aces and you don't raise in MP you allow everyone behind you to draw very cheap against you and you don't force the SB and BB to make an expensive call. I understand that MP flopped a boat and I would go broke if I raised in his position and the SB called with his 2s.I probably shouldn't have wrote that I got some sick pleasure from that guy slowplaying his aces pre flop because poker karma will come back to haunt me but I am just not a fan of that play. troyomac 0
i flopped quad 8's today...wish i could say i lost to runner runner (for a better story) but he flopped an openended straight flush draw and hit on the turn... at least the guy had less chips than me, and i busted another guy on the same hand
ForKeeps 0
IM at the Seneca Allegany Casino last night at 1/2 NL table.I'm convinced these particular tables at this particular casino are the most profitable tables (percentage-wise) in all of poker. Nice job Chrozzo. I'll PM you next time in the area and going to play there, we'll grab a comp beer and rep FCP at the tables.

There is no chance of a straight flush in this handIt would be called a royal flush, which is technically the highest straight flush, but by way of terms, it has become a seperate hand ranking, making the Royal Flush higher than a straight flush. ajs510 122
I was playing 1/2NL at Seneca Niagara on Saturday, and took a decent pot with quads also. Limped with pocket 8's, flopped a set, played it slow just calling other people's bets, rivered the 4th 8 (unnecessary, the set would have been enough to take the pot regardless) and won a $200+ pot. The $$$ was all-in on the turn, so there was no chance of getting any more. Regardless, I was pretty happy with the quads, first time I've had them in live cash play.
