beliblis 0
I going to vegas in March this is a poker trip no shows no tours just poker I want to stay in a hotel that has a nice poker room but dont want to spend a ton on a room that I will only use to nap. The best two places I could find are the Golden Nugget or the Orleans they are about the same price and they both have great poker rooms . Any advice would be great Thanks

Both are nice. I would go with the Golden nugget. I think you would have a better time playing there than the Orleans.
JSHamm 9
I'll be at the Golden Nugget next week. I'll let you know how it is.
benhoug 0
If location is a concern I'd probably stay at the Orleans. I know it's not on the strip or anything, but it's at least kinda close. The Nugget is obviously downtown, and a hefty cab ride from the strip. Don't get me wrong, I think downtown is cool too, but I think it's cool for a day, not for my whole trip. tiger47 0
I like staying at the Nugget. Nice rooms. You'll find more fish at the Nug. A lot of locals play at the Orleans.
Pupsta 0
a major question you have to ask: what are you playing? if you want to play higher than 4/8 and 1/2NL, or play anything but holdem, the nugget's not for you. if you want to play 2/4, 4/8, and 1/2NL HE, the nugget is great. Pupsta 0
ton of locals at the nugget' date=' too.[/quote']Trust me there are plenty of locals who are fish toobelieve me, i know that....locals are fish at the nugget, locals are fish at the orleans...i like hte nugget a lot, as a matter of fact i'm going for an audition for poker dealer there in about an hour, but the game selection is awful...peak times, there are 8 tables running. i've seen 8 tables running at 3am on a wednesday in the orleans. the orleans is a dump for a cardroom but you have more selection of games, and you're closer to cardrooms where you can play anything your heart desires. the nugget has a nice room with good staff/dealers, but you're stuck with a 4/8 max, and nobodyaround you is spreading anything higher.
