Forgive me for not knowing specifics, but i lost the hand between playing and coming here to post and i would really like to hear some advice.An argument could be made against my playing the hand in the first place but there was a lot of money flying around with a few new players in the game and i wanted in on it.$1/$2 PLO 9 handed Hero has $68 everyone in hand has more than me3 players foldMP2 calls $2Hero (6c 4c 6s 8s) calls $2CO foldsButton foldsSB raises to $6BB calls MP2 foldsHero callsFLOP (3c 5s 7s) $20.00SB bets $20BB calls $20Hero.....The SB is the only raise with aces type and i feel i can get paid off in full if I hit so I definately want to take a flop with this fellow. I end up pushing over the top for another $42 and both players call.SB shows As Js Ah xBB shows 6d 8d 9h 9cShould i have just called and waited for a blank turn even with my short chips or was that the way to go? Incidentally the turn was a 2d and the river was the Ks and i lost.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. It seemed like the right move but i had someone suggest that waiting might have been better and i just wanted some more opinions.

I did eventually...if i recall correctly, i was 49.7% to win and ~10% to split with the other straight draw. I don't like the other possible outcome, so it will not be mentioned

Though your allin here is undoubtedly correct 100%, there is something to be said for waiting for a safe turn card when deep stacked. if each of you had 200 starting this hand I believe just calling on the flop might be best. If you call on the flop there will be 80 in there on the turn. If either player bets on a safe card for your str8 you can simply raise allin and they will be a much bigger underdog to you instead of the flop. Also, you put them to a decision, $100 or so, to call when they are a 2-1 or greater underdog. This proposition is most favorable, and also keeps you from investing more than 30 to see a good turn, and if it is bad, you can happily walk away. Once again though, this strat is not for your stack, because you are quite shortstacked.
