Jdr999 0
Right now I am playing in a Re-buy and Add-on tournament. The average stack is 5,000. I am currently the chip leader with 15,500.2 in chips has 10,000I get 1,500 chips for a re-buy. Should I do so, or not, and why?Nevermind, I get 3,000 for the re-buy. But if I am in this situation again, when should I re-buy, and when shouldn't I rebuy.

Bill_Brasky 0
If the amount of the rebuy is insignificant to your bankroll you should. It can't hurt.

Jdr999 0
is it the 3 dollar on ps right now?No, on a site most of you have never heard of (Tiger Gaming)Went on a sick run of cards, and since it's a re-buy, I went all-in with my good hands, and didn't have someone suckout on me. semaj550 0
As someone else suggested earlier, I add-on unless the add-on is less than 10% of my current stack. There are other circumstances to consider but that is my rule of thumb.
Mercury69 3
Another good rule of thumb is "Stick it up your bum"
kdogg 0
I always do the add-on. It's always better to have more chips, and the add-on should be inconsequential to your bankroll; you shouldn't being playing in the tourney if it isn't.
yeffy 0
Unless an add-on is going to increase your stack by 25% or more there is little reason to do it. Why reduce your potential profit if you aren't going to increase you edge. If you're going to lose 15,000 in chips your going to lose 17,000 chips the same way. It's even more pointless as one of the chip leaders, unless the other leaders are at your table. If you have everyone at your table covered you are adding chips that you can't really get action. In this case the only reason to do it is if it is going to effect you psychologically. If not adding on will be in the back of your mind then do it otherwise you are just reducing your potential profit.

Jdr999 0
gl jdr, take it down.ty, but I busted 3 out of the money. Two key hands:7-handed at table with 14 left.3 fold, I raise with Q-9. Button calls.Flop is K-Q-5, two clubs. I bet 2/3 pot, button calls. After his call, button has a little more than the size of the pot.Turn is a 9, non-club. I push, button calls with J-10, no clubs. No help on river. Then I bust in 8th when I get cold-decked and run my Jacks into Kings, all-in preflop.
