Women are very competitive with each other and this lets all of the other women out there know we got somebody. Plants are practical... do NOT give a plant.Jewelry- BUT you need to make sure you make the right purchase. Less than a year together... unless if you are engaged, do not buy a ring. A nice necklace, earrings or bracelet will do. Make sure to buy it in the style we like and the color of gold we already wear (white or yellow). This way, we can wear it all of the time. If you have been with us for 2-3 years, it is time for a ring. After a few years, if no ring appears, I can guarantee most of us with any self esteem with disapear. If we are not the most important thing in your life by now, then we will never be. Lingerie- Make it a baby doll or a chemise. When she is in the chower, check out her bra size and pants (not underwear size). Check out a few pairs because it all depends on the cut. Write it down. Take this information with you when you go to the lingerie shop. This way you can guarantee it will fit her. Candy- is a weird thing and I reccomend to tread lightly. We women LOVE our chocolate but too much and we are scared of gaining weight. Give us too little and we think you are telling us that you think we are fat. Best bet is to buy a small to mudium size of QUALITY chocolate, like Godiva. This way, we think of the amount as related to cost instead of our size. If we tell you we want something practical, we are lying. If you think we are not lying and you get us that practical gift, make sure to combine it with something that is not practical. evesixer 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Share Posted February 5, 2006 a romantic weekend getaway is nice- my husband and I are going to Wisconsin Dells to stay at a waterpark, also will head to the casino at nite. we are only going for one nite, but it will be a blast. if you have been together long enough, and money is tight, there is no problem with discussing the idea of paying for it together...unless the guy can afford to pay for all of it. even a whirlpool suite at a local hotel would be nice...especially if the suite is covered in rose petals, candles around the room, etc. Link to post Share on other sites
