Lindgren and Lederer both have a deal with Knob Creek.
I'm aware of that, but I'm talking about endorsing products through commercials on Television. I have yet to see a poker player do one.(If Knob Creek has had a commericial, then I will confess and say that I have not seen it.)If a company wanted a poker player to endorse a product, I would assume Ivey would be one of their more desired spokesmen because he has the respect of even the most casual poker observer. Of the friends I lived with at college, I was the only devoted poker follower. However anytime Ivey was on TV, these people were quickly in awe of his talent and could see that he performed at a level higher than the rest of the table. Phil has virtually everyone's respect, and he is not divisive like some other poker players.

i was wondering why phil doesnt have anything going except with his playing at full tilt...phil is clean cut and he seems like a nice guy...why doesnt he get any endorsements? is it because he is black? now DN gets a video game, book coming out, dvd, WYNN, cameos in movies, and alot more.....IVY has had a great 2005..maybe just as good as DNs 2004...so why no love? again i ask..is it because he is black? If he was white...i think he would have so much more...dont get me wrong..i like ivey and the way he plays and even talked to him on a few occasions and he is really nice and rooting for him 100%...hey, maybe he doesnt want it, i dont know...but who wouldnt want a few extra million from endorsements...[/quophil ivey has no personality whatsoever. dn is his polar opposite in that regard, hence the endorsements.

You've actually got it all completely backwards. The fact that Phil is young and black makes him 10 times more marketable than a white guy.
100% agreed and not cuz DN said it. The young black american is the most copied and emulated man on the planet. All of the top endorsements go to African Americans. Think about Jordan, Tiger, etc.

Which young black American are you talking about?Never mind, it doesn't matter, no "he" isn't, and no "they" aren't.Stupid remarks abound.Show me all the people in China and India and Middle East that "copy young black americans" and you'll have a point. You won't, and, oh how it sickens me that 'tards make declarative statements like that.

there is no racism in poker?when you are playing in a casino and and look at your table...you dont think about what kind of players they are by the color of their skin or nationality they are? what if he is mexican he loves to chase...or if he is asian and he loves to gamble with 2 overs and loves to race? or a old man who plays like a rock...or a young white kid thats thinks hes DN or hanson and is super aggressive?
No, but it sure sounds like you do !
