GUMBY55 0
What's this poker corporation that Daniel's talking about in his latest blog entry? I searched the forum, but nothing came up. I figure it's a group of players getting together with some money to beat...whoever. Can anybody enlighten me?Thanks

mx957 0
Read the book about Andy Beal. Doyle Brunson, Ted Forest, Jenn Harmon and a few others formed "The Corporation" to play Beal for big bucks.

Mercury69 3
I think it's a coalition of players that support each other by staking in and splitting winnings, based on whatever agreement they make (and variations thereon).

lordofelt 0
One of the articles states that the game is to be $100 000/$200 000 limit holdem and to be played in private at the Wynn. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought there was some legal stipulation in Vegas stating that no gambling could go on in private and that a casino had to open any gaming venture to anyone who had the buyin for the game to prevent back room games from being run. Can anyone confirm this for me?
Rude Dog 0
I heard that's true...so, they are playing on the casino floor, and anybody can buy in...for ten mil.

Can anyone confirm this for me?their game is heads up limit holdem which is allowed, its open to anyone with a 10 million dollar bankroll and wants to play either andy beal or the crop heads up, otherwise you just have to watch. they arent playing in a private room, their playing in the public room at the wynn, its just away from where everyone can sit and watch. its public enough that someone can provide constant updates of the game from his PDA forthe bluff forum... Socrates 0
don't forget that a few years before you started playing poker or knew what it was that this existed.

No_Neck 0
it is illegal to have a private game, anyone with 10 mil can sit down but I would expect the other players to sit out when he did.
Powrider 0
its illegal for the game not to allow other players to play if they can front the cash. therefore beal likes to take the stakes up to keep others out and hopefully push the pros past their comfort zone. Adam_g 0
lol, the stakes have nothing to do with whether other people sit in. I think this is the last thing Beal is worried about. It's all a comfort zone thing. Plus when your bankroll is up near a billion dollars would you wanna play any lower???
