jjgoldy5 0
Assuming the flop is rainbow, I'm thinking for a second, and then smooth calling.I don't think you can really let go of this hand, no matter what comes out on the turn. Judging only by the size of his bet, I would say he is on a draw of some type of marginal hand like A8 or K8. Smooth calling allows him to put more money in on the turn and then you can make your judgement off of the size of his bet whether or not to get all of your money in here, or smooth call again (if you hit your 3 you should definitely smooth call). Mercury69 3
If anyone criticizes you for playing short-stacked, they should be shot. The only people who won't advocate a hit and run style are those who lost their money to someone playing that style.

The only people who won't advocate a hit and run style are those who lost their money to someone playing that style.Or the people who know that they have the best expectation at the table and like to have the other players covered to maximize their winnings. That could be why. AlphaOmega 0
Fold the SB. It's not really that close. There are just not enough good flops that you can see to justify playing it. Even if you flop well, you may be outkicked or have to dodge overcards OOP on later streets.Depending on my read of the player, I would either raise or call. Raising accomplishes two things:-He doesn't suspect you to do it with trips because you are supposed to "slowplay" those.-It gets the money in now when a lot of scare cards can come on the turn and prevent you from stacking CO.This would be good if CO was particularly loose, level 1, and unobservant. If he is weak/tight and unobservant, it wouldn't be a bad idea to try and hang on to him by acting weak yourself by just calling. Guest
I raised 6 on top, he reraised me 6.50 and that put him all-in, he thought he could 'push me off my 7' with his reraise, he had pocket 5's, blank, blank i took it down.
