nritchi3 0
Ive decided that i hate limit holdem i really think its the worst game ever created. I can't handle the bad beats thats pretty much the extent of it when a fish puts a couple beats on me it throws me off my game enough to destroy any edge i have so i will forever be a long term loser at this dumb ****ing game. Im only playing no limit from now on if those idiots wanna play there Q8's then there gonna pay a hell of a lot more then one SB. Computer is going in the pool by the way. Flame away, Vontego and Ron mexico im talking to you.

daniel mahan 0
as you metioned lhe is a completely differnt game than NL. So you have to change the way you play hands, you cant just max out every round cuase you have AA and think it should still be good, there is really no comparison between Limit and No limit, two different poker games. So people will play different cards different ways. Q 8 i agree should be folded but some people see it different. Also, I noticed someone told you to play higher limits. That is not a bad idea....if you play cash games. I was watching a limit tourney you were in and happen to notice you only cause my friend was at the same table so if u are just a limit tourney player be prepared fro all kinds of things from those people, but dont think its a bad game just cause its different from NL. IMO thats what makes Limit a fun game is that it is so much different than No limit.

dapokerbum 0
Limit hold em is the best game. Why would you rather pay 20BB to have someone draw out on you then just one. There are donks in NL too...Although I agree that both games have little differences and you need to adjust you strenghts/weaknesses (sp) to be able to beat both of them effectively.my .

The Czar 0
I think playing limit has actually made me a better NL player. It has taught me better hand selection and positional plays. I now prefer it to NL and it seems more profitable so far.

cubbybri 0
I personally believe you can be bad beat in any game. Why? Cause everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people (hum along if you know the tune). I'm having a great month and a half of limit hold'em and my key is, you need to control your emotions. It took me a year to realize that a bad beat happens. I now almost try to exclusively play with maniacs and loose calling stations. The key is to make sure you have a proper bankroll to take the bad beats. If you can handle that and play even an average game, you can have huge winning session (my game is average, probably less than). If you can handle the financial and emotional end of bad beats I feel you can beat the game. Just play tight, play your good hands strong and your great hands stronger.I try not to play on a table that has less than a 40% pre flop. I jump into any game immediately that has over a 50%. And I really liked the comment about it being cheaper to get a bad beat in limit than no limit. I can't say if there are more bad beats in either game but I'm sure there are just as many fish that make stupid moves with the worst of it and catch their river card.my 2 cents (I try to round up).
