Ok so UB has been sending me non-stop emails to come participate in one of there TV show qualifying multi's for the next event. So log in and really dont want to make a deposit and think I actually have some money left on the site. I do only $2.23 and the buy in $5. LOL. I play a $1 sit n go. take a first on my second try to get the buy in. Lucky me. Anyways, so I am really not taking this all this serious but kind of am you know what i mean. The tournament starts out with 80 players and 12 alternates that can only come in after someone busts within the first 12 minutes. The top 25 get a seat into the Monday MTT were the top 3 go to this TV event. All right enough background. 8th hand in this what i get and before you go to far off on me for the preflop call trust me I know. And this very situation only highlights why this will be a rarity for me from now on. Not to mention how truly upset I was with myself for putting myself in this situation. With that said, please have at it...Hand #11557791-8 at Thu120amTV-002 (No Limit tournament Hold'em) Powered by UltimateBet Started at 02/Feb/06 01:34:55 BIGJOPS is at seat 0 with 675. URliveb84me is at seat 1 with 1915. tuffball is at seat 2 with 1450. sniperwon is at seat 3 with 1485. <-----havent played a hand yet(me) Cr0at is at seat 4 with 1780. jak714 is at seat 5 with 1395. KennyG74 is at seat 6 with 1825. vfg is at seat 7 with 855. 1slick1 is at seat 8 with 1755. wayne57 is at seat 9 with 1865. The button is at seat 3. Cr0at posts the small blind of 10. jak714 posts the big blind of 20. BIGJOPS: -- -- URliveb84me: -- -- tuffball: -- -- sniperwon: Ad 8d<-----not a great hand by any standards(button) Cr0at: -- -- jak714: -- -- KennyG74: -- -- vfg: -- -- 1slick1: -- -- wayne57: -- -- Pre-flop: KennyG74 folds. vfg calls. 1slick1 raises to 40. wayne57 re-raises to 170. <-----he just did this same raise 2 hands ago with Ks9s. He probably has a better hand here. But... [/b] BIGJOPS calls. URliveb84me folds. tuffball folds. sniperwon calls.<----just thought maybe i could take the pot from him cuz of position or something not a good call but had mediocre reasoning behind it. Cr0at folds. jak714 folds. vfg calls. 1slick1 calls. Flop (board: 2d 7d Jh): vfg goes all-in for 685. 1slick1 calls. wayne57 calls. BIGJOPS folds. sniperwon goes all-in for 1315. 1slick1 calls. wayne57 calls. Ok here I am sick and ready to fold as soon as it is my turn when vfg goes all in. But when 1slick1 and wayne both call this makes me relook at my hand. Now 1st thought is there is no possible way I am winning at this point, but I am basically getting 5 to 1 odds on my money. I have the nut flush draw. 1slick1 has to have a pair but not a big one or why didnt he try to isolate same with wayne or maybe wayne has AJ or KJ. then I look at the bet which is roughly 50% of my stack. So my options are either fold, raise or call. Fold is probably not a bad play here which is what i wanted to do in the first place. Call is the dumbest play here i think. Cuz If i call I am basically going to be all in on the turn then anyways. If they bet on the turn I am calling with even better pot odds and if they check they are calling me cuz of my stack and if i take a free card on the turn if given the option and the flush gets there on the river I may loose one of them. So i take call out of the option and leave my self with fold or All in. I obviously hate this perdictament or I wouldn't be here. This the 8th hand of the tournament and I am censored that I am even here cuz of the preflop call now. But after wieghing all my options and then trying to figure hands out. I end with this: Its 8th hand of a MTT, a $5 buy-in neither one of these guys has a set or an ace. They are way to aggressive up to this point to just flat call with 2 diamonds out there. VFG prolly has us all beat at this point but if i can get these two in and win I could drag a nice side pot. Plus its a qualifying multi into another multi how long do I really want to be here to grind it out. If i win this pot I can basically just click sit out and coast into the top 25. I really want to fold here but its starting to look better and better to me so I finally just say its only $5 and a chance to quadruple up why not and go all in. Without even seeing the end of the hand is this even a remote possibility of an appropriate play? Turn (board: 2d 7d Jh 5c): 1slick1 checks. wayne57 goes all-in for 380. 1slick1 goes all-in for 270. wayne57 is returned 110 (uncalled). Tournament all-in showdown -- players show: sniperwon shows Ad 8d. vfg shows Ts Jc. 1slick1 shows Th Tc. wayne57 shows 9h 9d. River (board: 2d 7d Jh 5c Jd): (no action in this round) Showdown: sniperwon has Ad 8d 2d 7d Jd: flush, ace high. <---got lucky and won it and like i thought coasted the rest of the way to finish in 7th. vfg has Ts Jc 7d Jh Jd: three jacks. 1slick1 has Th Tc 7d Jh Jd: two pair, jacks and tens. wayne57 has 9h 9d 7d Jh Jd: two pair, jacks and nines. Hand #11557791-8 Summary: No rake is taken for this hand. sniperwon wins the main pot 3620 with flush, ace high. sniperwon wins side pot #1 1890 with flush, ace high. 1slick1 wins side pot #2 540 with two pair, jacks and tens.

well atleast you know you should not have called this hand preflop, as far as the flop goes...when you a play hand like A8d to a raise, what do you want to hit the flop? well apparently if an ace would of hit you would of been scared someone had you outkicked so when you the flush draw that is exactly what you had hoped for...no point in folding your hand since you hit the flop the way you wanted to, also good odds so you made the correct push after the flop but be careful calling with that hand preflop to a raise and a reraise....
