With 12 or 13 still left, I'm going with Amnon Filippi. One of my friends has never heard of him, and he's giving me 20:1 on my $20 if he wins.Any other thoughts? Another Dags blowup, EDOG, Grinder?
I'm gonna put my money on EDOG.

Smart picks would prob be Edog or Grinder, but my sentimental picks would be Bax and the Donater.Patrick

Back-to-back final tables would be dirty for Grinder, the current chip leader, after finishing 2nd at Gold Strike where the final table featured him, Scotty, Gavin Smith, An Tran, and Raul Paez (a Barcelona player I keep reading about). A million dollar month would not be a bad way to start off 2006.

Date / Time: 2006-01-31 14:36:00 Title: Don Mullis Makes A Big Laydown Log: With a board of J-6-4-9-5, Don bets $50,000 into a pot of of around $250,000. Michael Mizrachi reraises $500,000 more. Mullis goes into the tank and finally calls the clock on himself (this seems to be the trend today). He finally lays down pocket jacks face-up. "The Grinder" mucks his cards and rakes the pot. Minutes later...Date / Time: 2006-01-31 14:39:00 Title: "The Grinder" Repeats A Big Laydown Log: Following in Don Mullis's footsteps, Michael Mizrachi folds his top set face up. Don Mullis shows him the nut flush. The crowd around the table is amazed that each player has laid down top set within a few hands of each other. Grinder in 4th with 11 remaining.

the grinder is on a tear right now but he will find a way to blow it. I know he has one wpt win already, but he has a ways to go before learning how to finish strong in tourneys. He is getting there and could turn out to be one of the greats.

Im rooting for Peter "Nordberg" Feldman.  I read his blog and he seems like a good guy so Im pulling for him.http://nordspoker.blogspot.com/
What a horrible beat for him to go out on the bubble.I'm picking 'Dags. Made final table last time at Borgata, and will close the deal this time. Hope final 3 is 'Dags, EDog, and The Grinder. Too bad WPT screws up the blinds for the final table.

Wow that is brutal. Gets it all in on the TV bubble with AA vs AK and loses. He must be heartbroken, that really sucks.
