huge overlay on empire

Recommended Posts

just thought people might be interested in something i just noticed. i really only go to Empire for the freerolls these days, but I'd noticed that some of their smaller Guaranteed tournaments have some overlays. Usually its the rebuy tourneys, so the overlays are small and unknown.in the 200K guaranteed tonight though, there were only 254 entrants, with 150 rebuys and 124 add-ons. thats only a total of $132000 ($142000 or so if you count entry fees) for a $200K price pool. that's a pretty big overlay.they have guaranteed tourneys every day at 9pm, though they vary in size. pretty much all of them have overlays though. not sure what the schedule is, but i'm sure you can find it. don't think the quality of play is particularly high either.anyways, good luckdanielEDIT: Empire starts you with 1000 chips (1000 for rebuy, 1500 for add-on) and a pretty poor blind structure. so be warned.p.s. if you are signing up, feel free to use my referral (mrdannyg) and the referral code (?) but i don't really care.

Question on sign up bonuses. I am new to the online world and have been playing SNG's and MTT's on Ultimate Bet. I did not realize when I signed up that the bonus points earned in the tourneys do not qualify for the first time deposit bonus. Is that true at all sites? If not, what sites allow you to earn the first time bonus playing tourneys? All info is appreciated.
