Recommended Posts

hey guys and ladies, been playing the 5/10 limit on party for about a month now, single tabling the whole time but ive decided im ready to play 2 tables at a time and was wondering if you crazy multitablers could give any hard earned advice. any advice pertaining to poker tracker and GT+'s use in conjuntion with party is highly encouraged as well as just overall technique.thanks for the help in advance.

First of all, post in strat.Second of all, definitely use GT+ and PT. That would be an absolute necessity.Thirdly, try not to tri-table and post on here... hurts your focus... lolZach

aight ill post over there, just figured it was kind of general technique as opposed to specific strategy. i also thought a lot of the people who might be able to help me never go into that forum, i guess thats because i never go in there so i just assume no one else does.

A lot of flamers gravitate to general, so I think Zach meant you will get more serious and knowledgable answers in strat. Many of the good players there don't even bother with general. Don't take it as a "you posted in the wrong spot" thing. Good Luck !

Just a general rule, but if you haven't, try to invest in a second monitor (and a new video card, if your video card doesn't have a plug for a second monitor). It'll alleviate a LOT of frustrating while MTing. That, or do it at PokerChamps (which I highly discourage).

overlap is a huge key, i don't know how many all in's i've called with 8 5 off or q 9 because i play on a 17 " lap top 6 tabling No limit...or folded aces or kings preflop because of the same situation.other than that..stay focused, and fluctuations will increase ten fold, so if you have faith in your game, don't change your strategy if you notice a decline right away..it will go up just as fast...i had a $1400 swing 6 tabling 1/2 2/4 no limit last night in 1 hour 35 minutes.best of luck to you.shawn...

thanks for the help guys, i brought my 19" crt out from my computer room and am using that as a second monitor hooked to my laptop, but i wouldnt do it with overlap. i hear you about the swings there pretty crazy and its weird to be stuck in one game but killing another.i also got a xbox 360 controller for my pc and set it up through auto hot keys to operate the tables, this is pretty sweet.

its pretty sweet um basically you need a few thingsa minimum ten button controller(pretty much any newer controller, i got the xbox 360 controller for windows but u really dont need to spend that much)a program called auto hot keys (freeware)and a script from 2+2 forums ill see if i can find a link, www.nls.net/mp/gaines/QTipController.txta little programming experience is helpful basically you sometimes need to tweak the script which is very simply coded. ive got a pdf describing the whole process if u want me to email it to you pm me your email.

i think multi tabling can be extremley good for your game. i think one sweedish guy plays 7 tables at a time or somthing nuts.umm be prepared to focus as u dont want to be distracted from it 1 wrong move and ur in trouble. listen to ambient sounds. dont become weak because of the extra pressue, dont even ur play out over 2 tables giv as much focus to one table as u would the other.also start off at a lower limit while multi tabling so as to get used to it without the extra risk, once you feel confident playing 2 or more tables then move up to a higher limit, kinda like when you are building your bankroll from scratch
