This is not a bad beat story!Playing last night on PStars in a 6man $35 SNG.Get down to to 4 people. Standard 4XBB raise with k10. Guy calls with 33. Flop is K38 rainbow. Bet pot and get called. Turn is a 10. Villian bets 25% of the pot, I come over the top and go all in. He calls. River is a x for a set and I lose with 2 top pair. No problem, he wins. That's poker.The little SOB responds in the chat box "ty". Now that just f'ing sets me off.If this little pimply faced, no brained virgin was sitting in a live game I am sure of that his response would have been different.I am so sick and tired of smart arse's comments in the chat box.Back to your regulary scheduled programming.

Happens all the time. I simply move on and avoid the thought impulse to slam the jerk and going on possible tilt to bust his stack. Never respond to those comments either---mute him if it continues. Play your A game which includes patience.Fullhouse7

That's why muting the chatbox is +EV.If I suffer a huge suckout I'll write it down in their notes that they owe me $X amount, always feels good to play them 2 months down the line and be able to tick off that they've paid their debt.One way or another, everybody pays.As a side note, entering "one way or another, everybody pays" into google returns Dutch Boyds' homepage, interesting...

In normal situations, I show the uptmost respect to the players at my table. But sometimes I am that guy with the wiseass remarks. Ive learned that many an online player will completely tilt and blow his whole BR, especially if he has been runnin bad all night. So if he takes a beat, Ill rub it in a bit and make a couple remarks. Next thing you know he will turn into a human ATM.

"Ty" in the chatbox usually means that your opponent is thanking you for a "gift" that you just gave them. Like you made some dumbass play and gave away your chips. He isn't going to get away from that hand with the top two pair in a SNG so saying "ty" is most definitely obnoxious. It's not worth posting about, but it's obnoxious. Also, he said that it wasn't a bad beat story in the OP. He made a point of mentioning that he knew he was behind. Your reading comprehension is sub par as is, apparently, your sense of humor otherwise you would love my posts. Now piss off.

Agreed...online players are just amazing. I have no problem with you trying to put me on tilt. It's part of the game. You are entitled to say what you want. I agree with op I can't stand the ignorance. People think because its online that proper poker manners go out the window. In a cash game yesterday I had a guy slow roll quads. I had put him all in on the river and he damn near let his time expire before calling with quads. I said nice hand and asked why he would do that. His response was "cus its online and you can't hit me.". It pissed me off but then he made me laugh. Classic.

I raised one off the button with KQ of spades, he called with Ac2h. Flop was 2d Js 10s, I bet he called. Turn was 2c, we cap it. River was the As giving him the boat and me the royal. Once it got capped he typed “ty”, so I just replied “yw” and took the pot. He just left the table. I was just glad I got the “yw’ in before he left, a taste of his own medicine.
