yep still there...probably will be until i die, and more than likely it will be at the ripe old age of 77, of a heart attack, on a blackjack table...either that or i'll get shanked one night after taking some guy's entire bankroll...either way that casino is going to be my tomb one of these daysalso, i decided to start playing poker again this week (hence my return to the forum)...started out pretty good, but just got bitchslapped by the deck tonight...kept gettin great starting hands, but could not catch a flop, and kept getting caught by inferior hands...i'll spare you the QQing but i had 13 pocket pairs in 76 hands and lost with them all...i run bad tonight my friends, i run bad

amen brother, amen...i don't care if they call and lose, its the wtf suckouts that are making me /wrists...some of the play i have seen has just been amazing, but this is my favorite...my epic .10/.25 return to poker ring game...i have at this point played 1 pot, because i was the big blind and it was unraised to me...this is like hand 36 or 37, i pick up AA one off the button, raise to .75 which is pretty standard, get one call from the SB...flop comes A J 3, i bet 1.25, SB calls...turn 8, bet $3, get raised to $6, push for $11 and some change more...he calls, shows 97 off...river is of course a 10and it doesn't even make me mad, i just shake my head in dismay...i think i was in denial that this just transpiredi reload for $20, very next hand get dealt KK, raise it to .75, one call...flop A K 4, i bet 1.25 again, get raised to $4, i call...turn 5, i bet $7, get re-raised all-in, which makes me happy, until dude flips AA...why me? oh and to burn me a little more he rivers the 4th Ace, because i run badi take a break, come back and buy in for another $20...about 20 hands in a pick up AK on the button, make the standard raise to .75, get re-raised to 1.50 by the BB, i call...flop comes Q 10 J, BB moves all-in for $14.65, i cheer, and call, he shows 77...turn K, river A, rsm cries...i think i actually lost like 6 cents on the hand from the rake.i tell ya, if its not bad players making bad plays and winning, its the deck throwing coolers my way...i think this is why i quit playing poker in the first placenote: i hate telling bad beat stories as much as i hate hearing em, but god i gotta vent after these few sessions of pain

and on this note, i'm rage quitting poker...fun story, enjoy!decided to move up limits a little bit to get away from the redonkulousness of my day, so i sit down at the .50/1.00 table with $50. i have at this point played a total of 6 hands, 3 of which i raised preflop, got no action, picked up the blinds. i hit a decent pot early on with QQ over JJ and amazingly wasn't outflopped, turned, or rivered. things were looking good, as i had climbed my way up to $94 and change. i've folded about 40 8-2 and J-3 in a row, not even thinking about playing anything, when i get a hold of A K utg, so i raise it up to $3. utg+1 calls, everyone else folds.flop is epic win: 3 2 4 i slow play it a little to see if i can get him to take a stab at it, which he does, grossly overbetting the pot with a $12 bet. my initial instinct is that he has to have 5 6 because i mean, god, buddah, and krishna clearly want me to quit poker. of course i'm pretty sure no one calls a preflop raise from the tightest player on the table utg with something like that, and i don't believe in krishna, so with only 2 out of 3 deities against me, i smooth call.turn is more epic win: 5 now i know i'm golden, steel wheel ftw baby. i bet out $20, to which he re-raises me all-in. if i call, which of course i am going to (because even i can't be unlucky enough to run into straight flush over straight flush right?) i would be down to a solid $2 and change. all i can possibly put him on anymore in any way that makes the slightest bit of sense to play is Q Qxi call, he turns over (and i shit you not) 7 5 which means i'm just about to rake in a nice $180+ pot! woot!!! i'm a little wtf-faced about preflop calling me with 75 off, but w/e, ty for your donation.river: 6 why not

Well I left with $3000 and I came home with $10. Got my ass kicked everyday there. Ussually I have at least 1 winning day but not this time. Yes i did jump of the Stratosphere. It was pretty cool but the fall wasnt as fast as I expected. Still a intense rush. The scariest part is actually signing the waiver that obsolves the Stratosphere of all liabilities including cases of negligence on their part. Also when I got to the observation deck and saw how high up I was I got some butterflies in my gut.The first night I was there I had BLT Burger and it was great as usual(Kobe Sliider trio and fries with a pint of Guiness) however I woke up at 4am with the liquid shits and they continued into the afternoon the next day. Also went back to Table 10 and its my favorite restraunt in Vegas, always good there. Had Mesa Grill for lunch on wedensday and it was also very good. Other than that nothing to memorble in the food department.Thursday night I was going to the hotel elevators at the Palazzo to get some more cash and I saw a tv camrea following 3 girls to the elevators. It was Kim Kardashian and wow man what an ASS!!!! I got about within 10ft of her and if they use the footage they were shooting I should be in it following them with my eyes fixated on her ass in a transe like state. I saw her again on friday night but it was at a photo op just outside the venetian poker room and was a total gong show with thousands crowded around screaming and taking pictures. Man I cant believe a dead lawyers daughter with a spectacular ass is such a huge celebrity but I guess its the world we live in.I didnt do much poker wise. I played 2 evening tourneys and the Friday noon tourney all at the V. I got a min cash in the Friday noon but was stacked up pretty well about halfway throught the field before my epic card dead streak started.Bcak to reality tommorow

omg! i missed my 5 year FCP anniversary!

hey me too...i missed both of ours...that makes me double fail right? i don't know if mine counts though since i technically took a "break" for about a 2-years or soanyways, in other news, i've had this strong desire lately to make/build/create something, so recently i decided i was gonna build my own poker table. fun fact, i have pretty much zero woodworking experience (insert lame joke equating whacking it to woodworking here), and pretty much no tools for the job. so, i bought a bunch of tools, got some plywood, and drew up my specs. i started it all up on wednesday, but thanks to working full time and going to school full time, i have had little time to actually complete it, which is cool, because the cupholders i ordered are taking for-f'ing-ever to get here. i should have it done by this coming wednesday, so i'll post some pics. thus far i'm pretty proud of my work. it isn't superfantasticawesome or anything, but considering my severe lack of skill in the building stuff department, its pretty sweet.
