CardWarfare 4 Posted June 26, 2010 Share Posted June 26, 2010 I don't know if I can put the house back in order, but it is good to see some old friends still here...As for life, I finally stopped working for the man and started my own company in 2007. It has been long hours and a ton of work, but I have loved every minute of it. It has kept me away from forums and poker, although I try to play when I can. I still haven't made it out to play in a WSOP event, but maybe someday....How are all my Hideout brethren?Glad at least a few people posted here since I last checked in.I've been doing well. It seems not many people actually play poker anymore. I havent touched a card or a chip in probably 2 years. I'm busy as well with a full-time job and playing bass for 2 different bands. Play in a homegame that's more an excuse for the married fellas to get out of the house for a night but doubt I'll keep it up as it has devolved into little more than an extended bong session for about half the players and I don't smoke the reefer. On the upside, I did my bi-annual inspection of the card room that earned my ire and things seem to be running much, much better. I might start playing more frequently since I get every Friday off. So I got that going for me, which is nice.Still single and lusting after sweet krissy (and a plethora of other porn actresses/internet "models").Good talk, Russ. Link to post Share on other sites

grocery_mony 8 Posted June 29, 2010 Share Posted June 29, 2010 Ive played poker about twice in 2 months. My Pokerstars br is still well funded but I need to take breaks(which have been getting longer) to make the game still somewhat fun. I play strickly tourneys as cash games are boring as hell with all the grinders 20 tabling. Once in awhile I shortstack 8 game but havent had any success doing it. I think I will go all out in the fall to qualify for a NAPT event or something of the sort as it has been an urealized goal to play in a major tourney. I think I have the right aptitude for tourney poker as I have always been a winner there with putting very little effort into improving my game by going over theory and strategy. As for life I have been content being single up until about 4 months ago and now all of sudden I want to find someone and get hitched. It was like a lightswitch almost. Just about everyone I know has gotten married in the last 8 years and their lives seem somewhat less miserable than the single people I know. If your into thrills there is a new attraction at the Stratosphere called the sky jump where you jump off the top on a zip line and freefall for a bit before the line slows you down for impact on the strip bellow.
