bonus hunting...

Recommended Posts

I happen to be in the market for some quality bonus hunting strategies. If anyone can supply, please post links to articles, etc. Have built br to around $250(i know, not huge) and am looking to grow the br at a more accelerated pace. Ideally, would like a large enough br to move past $25NL and $50NL, so I can actually make some decent part time money with the hobby. Please consider I have a F/T job and not a ton of time to spend clearing bonuses. Fast to clear, or instant, bonuses would be my priority, if possible.Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks. 8)

Post in online poker

Nah I saw his post almost hit page 2 with no responses and figured it would get more attention in online poker or at least stick around on page 1 for more than 5 minutes

you should check out www.pokersourceonline.comthey are affiliated with several poker rooms and they will send you a free gift of your choice, often in addition to the site's sign up bonusyou can get things like poker supplies or gift certificates to amazonif you decide to sign up with any site through PSO, i'd appreciate it if you use econ_tim as a referral

www.pokerlistings.com -> top right corner "sort by best bonus"
bonuswh*res.com (*=o) is probably the best resource. i don't find pokerlistings all that helpful.abba - have you started your 2/4 "pro" thing yet? updates?if you're even thinking about it, i am certain that i speak for others when i say i'd love to read a blog or some kind of updating thread on it.

Calling it "pro" sounds so ... unprofessional. Ive played about 8k hands since jan 1st. 2.8bb/100, with roughly $500 worth of bonuses cleared and an hour or two of 1/2 sprinkled in. I think it adds up to roughly $1,500 so far. Not as much as i would have liked, but ive run into a few problems. Firstly, my laptop is a piece of trash. It cant handle more than 2 tables with pokertracker and GT+ running. The choppiness from running it with as few as 3 tables has already resulted in nearly $100 worth of misclicks (i accidentally folded top two on a safe board, with some guy gaybetting into me on the turn... and there was 40 already in the pot). Plus.. GT+ isnt working with eurobet any more. Ive tried reinstalling and nothing works. Pretty annoying when it's (the laptop) is basically only a few months old. But that's what you get for a $700 after rebates laptop. Im going to get a new harddrive for my desktop (the old one is so riddled with bugs that it's impossible to use as is), so i can hopefully be playing at full capacity soon.Oh yeah, a blog? I dont know. What separates me from every other shlub that plays 2/4? :PI might start one just to track my results. Not sure why you'd want to read it.

i figured you'd hate "pro." i do too, but couldn't think of a better word. come to think of it, "full-time" would've been just as good.sucks about your laptop. i empathize with computer problems, since mine also sucks butt. in reality, a new computer isn't all that expensive. when you consider what you are giving up since you could be playing 4-5 tables (one pacific with 28% rakeback) and running 3-4 other tables, with partymine, etc.once it gets time to settle on party (if you do so) hopefully you can get a new computer (depending on how long you expect to be at this).as for the blog - i guess you aren't that different, except you are taking it seriously and are a good player. mostly though, because you're doing what me and probably others would like to do ourselves. i figure you and I have similar abilities to do what you're doing, and i'd really be interested in anything from daily results, to how you feel mentally, to the effects its having on your life.just seems like there's plenty of us shlubs who realize that $25/hour is better than just about any other job we're liable to find and would like to do it.regards, your stalker

im actually starting a page at blogspots that help people build BR from pretty much scratch. the fact that ure a profitable player helps. look at the second post about paradise, refer me (duh!) and keep reading.i'll update it this weekend, but the paradise gift adds 10%+ to ure BR just for almost nothing. All u have to do is know blackjack basic stratergy (or read a chart)http://bankrollbuilder.blogspot.com/bankroll builder

thanks for the help. i think pokerlistings has attractive codes...anyone know how easy to clear? seems most are 5x-10x raked hands. i can play 5000 hands a month in the dark. bonuswh*res was cool, too(the charts by the hour ROCK), but no extra bonuses with their codes. mainly using them as cross-reference to double check plistings. already goofed at pacific($20 initial deposit) a year ago...how dumb. i guess i could use another computer and try again. any good/regular reloads? seems crypto's network gets some good reviews, except their software, but seems easy to make around $200/month with minimal time if i use 4 sites. any comments on crypto?thanks again.

true, i mainly use BW to judge which i should do next. they have very few exclusive codes. i just looked at all the sites with attractive rates, then went to the sites to see exactly what the requirements were. note that if you use PSO or Boogster, this adds to the rates, and can make some of them pretty ridiculous. Full Tilt for instance goes from under $2/hour to close to $15/hour at 2/4.i have to poop. will return...haven't played all the crypto sites, but do play monthly at William Hill and Ritz Club. games range from very tight to decent. not particularly good players - very passive. i'm unable to play more than 2 tables because it really slows down, thoughi t does let you play 3. i have a terrible computer, but i find the software difficult sometimes, but not terrible. i'd say the site is decent, but several small problems. definitely worth doing every month though.other consistent reloads:- party and empire. every time.- pokerstars is pretty decent, though rare- pokerroom's are not bad and pretty consistent- Ultimate Bet - pretty bad clearing rate, though a great site- Absolute - terrible- Golden Palace and Victor Chandler:underrated. sign up for Golden Palace through PSO, and its definitely worth doing. haven't played at VC yet, but same rate. Golden Palace is very loose at low limits (9-handed), and the rate works out to be better than Pokerroom. Site is also very easy to use and track your points. I think I may be alone in liking that site though.good luck

I think that size of the bonus is an important factor. It's time consuming to deposit and withdraw your money just to clear a $50 bonus here and there. You sort of have to allot an hour or two for that process, which - if you're anticipating a $20/hour clearance rate, hurts. Of course being that anal is probably stupid, especially considering how much time I spend analyzing it.I think i may go to full tilt after im done my eurobet $600 bonus. I like those ones. Gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside to chip away at it every day.*anticipates dannyg's response in the datamining thread*

Check out my blog. Easy $600 + dollars that is as close to risk free as possible if you follow directions and don't have bad luck. Let me know if you have any questions.
was wondering how long it'd take you to find these threads.for reference sake, i had very bad luck at two sites, and still made more than $50 at each site. that was (approximately) in the 15th percentile of bad luck (so 85% of the time you'll do better than i did) and still won. so yeah.EDIT: nose removed from shiny's butt

Started clearing it and wham, 77 big bet downswing and counting.Yar.update: 47 of those big bets were just recovered. 30 big bets down, plus 50 in bonuses cleared = a shitty, but acceptable day.And yeah, it's 20% up to 100.
