Shimmering Wang 1
Well, let's hear it?I tried, and I accidentally got ten in before 2000. I'll have to work harder.Yeah, my list is a joke, because in all honesty, I'd have to sit down and come up with a pretty complicated system to weigh a handful of factors I can't keep in my head. A rough draft probably looks something like:1) OK Computer2) Kid A3) Emergency & I4) Aeroplane over the Sea5) Soft Bulletin6) The Moon and Antarctica7) Yankee Hotel Foxtrot8) Madvilliany9) The Bends10) Person PitchThat's a roughish list. I think the top 7 are no-doubters. I could be swayed on any of the last three. I wouldn't feel terrible about replacing any of those. It's amazing to me that I got all the way to number seven before I could find room for YHF, which is like... well, I guess only my SEVENTH favorite album released in the last few years... and it's still ahead of the bends.I could replace any of the last 3 with "I See A Darkness" "Michigan: The Great Lakes State" "Apologies to the Queen Mary" "Turn on the Bright Lights" "A Grand Don't Come for Free" or a handful of others without losing much sleep. Ten is probably too few, because the top tier for me is seven, and the second tier is probably close to 15 or 20.Wang
Jadaki 0
Common. I've heard bad things, but the new Common is actually pretty good, in my opinion. But I'm a really big Common fan, so take that however you want.I saw it at Best Buy yesterday and was tempted to pick it up, but I haven't' heard anything off it yet and held off. mbreon 0
Yeah, I really like them. Somebody in here turned me on to them. Now that I think about it, it was probably you.I did talk about them some 100-120 pages ago in this thread, I believe, when I used to post in here more frequently. Needless to say, great band for anyone who hasn't heard them before. Rubber Factory is a solid album. Haven't heard anything about if they are good live, so will wait to hear a report from people who were at Lollapalooza....

Bill_Brasky 0
This movie is important.http://beforethemusicdies.com/ You're absolutely right. Everyone should check out this movie regardless of taste in music.Common. I've heard bad things, but the new Common is actually pretty good, in my opinion. But I'm a really big Common fan, so take that however you want. The most recent I've heard from him is Be, and I thought it was good. The first track is probably my favorite. Dirtydutch 8
Yeah, well, Be was the Common equivalent to Ghostface's Fishscales. Everyone loves it, and a lotta' people call it his best, and it's incredibility awesome...but there are at LEAST two records inarguably better.

CBass1724 1
I was listening to the 90's grunge/alt station on Sirius (24) and heard Deadeye Dick "New Age Girl". I hadn't heard that song in forever. Very catchy and gets stuck in the head easily. I always liked it for some reason.
LongLiveYorke 38
1) OK Computer2) Kid A3) Emergency & I4) Aeroplane over the Sea5) Soft Bulletin6) The Moon and Antarctica7) Yankee Hotel Foxtrot8) Madvilliany9) The Bends10) Person PitchA very good list. I guess you're much more of a fan than Emergency and I than I am, but other than that it's pretty similar to what mine would be.Though, I would probably have to find some space for Ágætis Byrjun, Odelay, If You're Feeling Sinister, Homogenic, and maybe HTTT.
