mbreon 0
Yea, people are gonna blame Vanderjagt, not thinking of all the things that happened to put them in that situation and how amazing it was just to have a chance to take that kick.Every Colts fan I talked to at the game was in complete shock and awe that we even managed to score 18 points. Believe me , we know how incredibly lucky and fortunate we were. You can't blame the whole game on Vanderjagt (I blame Peyton and the O-line much more), but he's an easy scapegoat. Just like the goalie always gets blamed in soccer/hockey when their team loses.

matthew r 0
Where is this kid, honestly. If you're gonna talk shit and call people out at least be a man about it an own up... even if you are only 16sorry douchebag, that i didnt check the forum instantly, i actually have a life outside of the internetthe steelers outplayed the colts in every possible way yesterday. i may actually believe in the rust factor now. good luck the rest of the way guys, i dont really have a favorite remaining but i will not be rooting against the steelersnow about the colts - dungy needs to go, for whatever reason he cant win in the playoffs, tampa knew this, the colts definitely know it now... after his sons suicide there was talk of him retiring to spend more time with his family hopefully he will just do that and leave quietly. then the colts ownership needs to write a 1 billion dollar check to jimmy johnson so he will coach the colts. or someone else whos awesome. i cant really think of any other good replacement. and now that like 1/4 of the nfl teams are looking for new coaches it could be rough.and of course people will say its not dungys fault, that manning is a choker... the guy is incredibly talented and has a million weapons, there is no way that the playoff losses they have incurred are NOT dependant on coaching. no way.also that polomalu int was cash money, the refs are smoking crack, and vanderjackoff may need to be cut/traded simply for aesthetic value. how long did buckner stay in beantown after that flub? InertGrudge 0
Go Browns? On a related note...I completely and utterly died yesterday when Bettis fumbled the ball on the 2 yard line.Honestly, if Ben doesnt make that open-field tackle, or if the Colts don't forget how to play football on the last drive, or if the FG is made...Bettis' fumble goes down as one of the biggest melt-downs / bone-headed mistakes in NFL Playoff History.And...being a Browns' fan, I would have been happy to see that.Panthers v. Hobbes 1
Regarding the overturned interception, wasn't that ruled incomplete on a technicality? The way I understood it the rule reads that when you make an interception while your knees are on the ground and lose possession before your knees come off the ground, it is incomplete. One of those weird, obscure rules. I guess if you make a diving interception and are downed by the other team it still counts, but when you're getting up and lose control it doesn't? If anybody else heard the explanation maybe they can shed some light.Vanderjagt will take a lot of heat because he runs his mouth a lot and he's the highest paid kicker in the league (or one of the highest). When his contract was up Indy gave him a very good deal when they needed to spend some money on the defense. Then to not come through when you are needed most doesn't exactly justify the expense. But everyone is right when they question the play-calling leading up to the kick. Why throw downfield when you only need 2 yards for the first and you are clearly not in gimme-FG range?Dungy also should get some blame. Of his 8 losses in the playoffs, his team was the favorite 5 times. That is a problem with coaching.

fryer98 30
Regarding the overturned interception.....You are correct. The referee made the correct call, based on the rule and how it is writen. It is one of those rules (like the tuck rule) that once it happens, they realize it need to be changed. When the rules committee meets in the summer, I'm guessing the rule will be changed.
