and tiffany williamson strikes again

Recommended Posts

From Cardplayer: After a ten-high flop, Greg "Fossilman" Raymer moves all in. Tiffany Williamson, who had a reputation for making long decisions during the World Series of Poker main event last summer, spent about seven minutes pondering the call, even though she would still have about $18,000 in chips if she called and lost. She eventually did call, and showed -- pocket queens. Raymer shows A-Q, and he's dominated here; he'll need to catch an ace or a runner-runner straight to stay alive. An ace fell on the turn to give Raymer the lead, and he won the hand when the last card was a blank. Raymer doubles up to about $22,000 in chips, while Williamson is left with about $18,000.

she should write a poker book. it might be a little better than play poker like the pros
Yeah right....If she writes as long as she contemplates poker plays, it should be out by the end of, oh..........2013!!

i'm surprised she had enough money left from the 2005 WSOP to buy in to this event...In an earlier thread, many FCPers posted on who the biggest television luckbox is and the consensus seemed to be Danny Nguyen. I'm not so sure any more...

Why is this Williams chick so annoying???
She took roughly 67 minutes to decide whether or not to call an all in with KJs, because, "I don't think you have the nuts, this isn't the nuts, but I don't think you have it either"
best part being her read was dead on because he did have the nuts

do you remember in the main event when she had just won some pot and this old man said something like "I told her 2 days ago that she was my hero." I was sitting there thinking... she possesses no heroic attributes. She is also annoying. This, in turn, made the older man annoying. In conclusion, I hope that she does not sniff another final table unless she has a brain transplant because if she does... i will be annoyed. that is all

I watched her play. Her actual Poker skills aren't that bad. The only issue I had is that she lacked basic table etiquette. She needs to sit down and learn how to manage herself. If she can do that, she might win one. She made a fool of herself getting up after the flop and getting on her cell phone while walking around. Some of her play was just to upset people (she is a lawyer and an educated woman) but I don't think all of it was. Some of it was lack of big table experience, and not knowing how to behave. Either way I think if you keep going to the big tournaments that you end up learning. People correct you enough you figure it out. Or, you see yourself on television acting a certain way and think, maybe I should fix that. Mind you, the ones who behave badly always end up on television.Despite her lack of etiquette I thought she played pretty well, and got lucky several times. I applaud her high finish. I hope she keeps learning and presents herself better if she decides to make a big run again.Magic83 Lilly
