GamblinLeaf 0
Best meal I've ever had was at Emerils "Delmonico" at the Venetian. But only if you want to spend 50-75 per person when it's over.Yeah, a buddy of mine from back in the day works there. Gonna see if he can hook me up.

Just don't let your wife(or girlfriend) tell the waitor to pick out a suitable choice in wine without giving him a limit  Just a little hint, gold flakes floating in your glass means it's not Boones Farm. I'll stop now but it's too late I'll be thinkin about that place until my Feb trip.
tennis_balls 0
if it's late and you've had a few drinks and your wife is in bed, i highly recommend the turkey burger at Fat Burger right around the corner from the MGM......check for Ron Mexico working the grill on the late shiftthe mexican place at The Palms is great too....and not expensive

Marchione 0
Definitely check out the Orleans casino, both for the pokerroom, and for this great little italian restaurant they have there.I can't remember what it was called, but it's sorta hidden in the casino, behind the video poker machines almost directlyacross from the buffet place. The food was great, and super cheap for Vegas.3 of us ate there probably 5-6 times through the week, and with a few beers each, I don't think the bill was ever over$40 bucks, and for 3 people, that was pretty decent. As for the poker room, they do tend to spread Omaha Hi/Loas well as Holdem, but usually I only saw H/L at the $4/8limit. HE was pretty good, they have both limit and NL gamesand the room was usually pretty active. I never saw any 7-stud game happening, nor an "interest list" but for the most partthe management was pretty good as far as getting games going, and moving the list along. Also, the "floor" was good to the players too. I saw a guy get a beer tossed at him from across the table. The floor immediately turfedthe thrower and then they brought the soaking wet guy a brandnew shirt...lol.They also have 2 tourneys a day that are relatively inexpensivebut have decent structures.Have a great time.the place of the place is called sazio~http://www.orleanscasino.com/restaurants/s...inner-menu.html

troyomac 0
Finding a juicy game I think will just depend on your luck in finding a juicy table. I got a chance to play at Caesars for a few hours at the 1-2 NL table. I received twenty 5 dollar chips when I bought in for 100. I was a bit surprised a first. The minimum raise was to ten, although we occassional raises to fifteen and twenty. If you like that kind of action, check it out.it was like that at MGM and Aladdin too...seems to be the norm down there. Ill be in vegas the 27-30th. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good tournaments with less than a $100 buy in. Ill be going with a group and we'll basically just be looking for somewhere we can play for a few hours if one of us goes deep without investing too much money. Thanks.most places have them, you just have to find out when. the structure won't be good for any of them though...pretty much allin fest from the get-go.the monorail is cool to try once or twice but at 5$ a trip its starts to add up ~ get a bus pass and save the monorail rides for you and the woman !!!food for your self~ get food vouchers from the players card at the mgm ~ for you and the wife ~ see what she is allowed to write off thru work ~ most casino's offer restaurants for travelers on all size budgets~Is your wife going to be at the Las vegas convention center? think about playing at the IP and walking over to Caesars to see the heads up action, when i went (dec. 24-29, 2005) the monorail was only 3 bucks for a one way trip, or 10 bucks for a full day pass. did the price go up since then? jdwilli09 0
I noticed that only a few rooms spread omaha. I was wondering if anyone knew where my best bet would be to find games, and which games were the softest. Thanks.
sotoman 0
for a cheap tourney the sahara is cool... it is a little long... but fun to play... here is a site for daily tourneys...http://www.lasvegasvegas.com/poker/tournaments.php
finztotheleft 0
The buffet at the Mirage was awesome.Margaritaville is in front of the Flamingo.....it's a lot of fun !(Buffett is always better than the buffets!)

VegasBone 0
Restaurants on the strip will obviously gouge you price wise....although there is also the best dining in the world on the Strip. I will go along with everyone raving over Emeril's Delmonico steakhouse at the Venetian....it will be the best steak you ever put in your mouth. As far as buffets go, the Bellagio buffet is the best quality wise. HUGE shrimp cocktail, crab legs, all kinds of meat....try out the Beef Wellington...to die for. Probably the best selection wise would be the Carnival World Buffet at the Rio.....but the quality doesn't compare to that of the Bellagio.Other good places to go on the strip... Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill in Caesar's Palace. The pork tenderloin medallions are the best I have ever had. Mesa Grill is also close to the poker room. OH...by the way....Caesar's...in addition to having the best poker room in town...also has the best tableside food in town for the poker room. Try the turkey sandwich on potato bread with stuffing and cranberry relish on it....you will probably spunk in your pants as you play poker and take the first bite of this sandwich. There is a new restaurant that opened at the MGM Grand where you are staying by chef Joel Robuchon who is regarded as the greatest chef on earth. I haven't been able to go there yet, but it has to be good....and I'm sure the price tag will go along with it.If wine is your thing, check out Aureole at Mandalay Bay. They have a 4 story wine tower enclosed in glass where these chicks on ropes called Wine angels fly up and down to get bottles of wine. I'm pretty sure it is a fixed menu....running about $70 per person....but it is a guarantee you will never be able to eat in a place like this anywhere else in the world. Also in Mandalay Bay is the Burger Bar, where you can get some high society cheeseburgers. You can get toppings from everything from bacon to lobster tail. You can also get burgers made out of Kobe beef....although I don't think they are worth it. If you go to the Burger Bar....get the Sin City Amber beer. There aren't many places in town where you can get it, but it is a local beer that is sold exclusively to a few restaurants in town....you can't buy it in any store. I think it's tasty. If you are looking for stuff on the cheaper side, the cafes at both the Bellagio and the Venetian are good. The cafe at the Bellagio is located where the flower observatory is, and the Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian is located on the casino floor. They are both a little more upscale in both selection and quality than your typical casino cafe.If you are going to rent a car....here are some great local places to hit.If you like Indian food....the best place in town is Gandhi's which is in a strip mall on the corner of Flamingo and Paradise. It is right behind Morton's Steakhouse...which is tasty although it pales in comparison to Delmonico. If you like Italian food, there are two very good places on Tropicana. One place is called Carluccio's Tivoli Gardens which is on the corner of Tropicana and I believe Spencer....it is where the Liberace Museum is. Absolutely delicious authentic Italian food with very reasonable prices. A slightly more expensive, but very tasty Italian place is a little further east on Tropicana...at the corner of Tropicana and Eastern called The Pasta Shop. The primary business of The Pasta Shop is supplying the big resorts with fresh pasta, but they also run a small restaurant with to die for food.Well...this post is becoming a few pages short of a Zagat book....so I guess I'll shut up. Can you tell I love living here?
Big Trips 0
For juicy low-limit tables, try Circus circus. It's unbelievable. Juicy is an understatement. You'll get a good walk up there too.Actually, i found most low-limit (3-6 or 4-8) tables very juicy, with the exception of The Wynn, where i found good players every time. Bigboots2ya 0
More info on vegas please. I cant get enough. I have only been there once and I feel I missed out on so much. Spent alot of time at the shoe playing poker but as great as that place is the service is terrible. Had to ask the same lady 3 times before I got some bottle water. On the other hand the service at the MGM grand was heaven. Every 10 min I had some 1 asking me if I needed something. Also the service at the wynn was nice as well but I wasent there long. Oh and some advice for singles guys dont get drunk at the Luxor had to hookers ask me if I needed there service Hookers scare me hehe.
