The table is weak/tight overall and I'm running well (87.5% W$SD) so I'd been playing more pots than is usual for me. Jordan 1
I don't like the raise preflop...but more importantly, I don't like the call on the flop. Why not make him gamble and push in there with your TP + FD + gutshot? Unless he has flopped a straight, we are a favorite to most of his holdings...turn, easy call...no point in pushing now cause he will be calling himself all in and now we really dont know where he is at. And if we do hit our draw on the river it's very liekely we will get the rest of his stack regardless as he has put in a lot of his stack in already.- Jordan

He did it with air and with strength.Edit: nevermind, I see what you're saying...I was just going by his rating as a LAP.
Pokerdad2222 0
Raise the flop here. Put him to the test. If he calls you still have plenty of ways to win. This is one of those "make your opponent make tough decisions, rather then you being forced to make tough decisions situations".Just call the turn at this point. I cant see the bettor folding anything here if you push
portcityplayer 0
$25 NL RingOver the course of the session my image had been shifting between SLAP/SLAG.I think it's a mistake to assume the other players recognize your image at this level and use it to make decisions. I would simply play your cards and look for obvious signs of strength from my opponents.. like a c/r on the flop in my experience they almost always have it.SB ($8.50 in chips)BB/Villain ($23.30 in chips)UTG ($9.75 in chips)UTG+1 ($10.35 in chips)UTG+2($28.85 in chips)Hero ($43.95 in chips)MP2 ($0.40 in chips)MP3($13.55 in chips)CO($31 in chips)Button ($20.15 in chips)Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q:spade:, J:spade:UTG calls ($0.25), 2 folds, Hero raises to $1.Flop: T:spade:, J:club:, 8:spade: (4 players, 1 all-in, pot $3.70)BB checks, Hero bets $2.00, Hero calls. He could have a flush draw watch out with your non-nut flush draw, I would've probably re-raised a substantial amount.C/R flop seems to be one of BB's favorite moves. He's done it a lot and it doesn't necessarily mean anything. He hasn't folded a single flop since sitting down almost an hour ago.Why didn't you re-raise then with top-pair, flush draw and inside straight drawTurn: 6:diamond: (3 players, 1 all-in, pot $11.55)BB bets $7.00, Hero...?I might fold, you have no implied odds and could be drawing to one out. I would call and then check call the river unless I hit the 9s or another J or Q that's not a spade. You failed to gain information on the flop and you're likely drawing to the remaining three J or Q . The 9 of spades would be nice. I don't like when I get check raised by a bad player. They think they are so sneaky, but they usually do it when they have a hand or big draw.
benhoug 0
Hero...?...pushes when he's raised on the flop. Unless BB flopped a set you're a favorite. Make him make the decision for all his chips. If he folds you win the pot. If he calls and you hit one of your 8000 outs you win (and he mutters something about you being a fish).Push when raised on the flop. You've got the edge
thespoil 0
Thanks for your input, everyone. Pushing the flop after his raise seems like the obvious move now but it didn't even occur to me during the hand. I appreciate the help.
