Guest Posted January 2, 2006 Share Posted January 2, 2006 I played some 1/2 LHE this morning and was on a real juicy table, players raising UTG with KTos, c/r top pair 7 kicker, calling 3cold with 67 soooted, calling down to the river with 3rd pair IE: board was J,6,7,9,K 1 played called to the river with 9,2os.Ok you get the idea. The problem for me was I was totally card dead,and when I got a playable hand I either missed the flop or got outdrawn, which I understand on a loose table (not complaining about bad beats)My question is this: How many of you would continue on this table (knowing its a gold mine) even tho you couldnt hit a cow in the a$$ with a shovel ,or just move on?I played 76 hands and won a grand total of 000000 lol. never happened to me before that I can recall.note: many pots were in the 30-40$ range and as high as 70$ ave pot was over 20$Thoughts??Ok maybe i'll rephrase my question: How many of you think that a table like this is +EV or -EV? 5or6 of the players were real loose agg calling stations Link to post Share on other sites

Sure, it can be frustrating in the long run when you can't profit from all the donkitude surrounding you. But just keep playing your game and be patient and the cards will come. I know it is part of the game, but it can be very dis-heartening. I just kept telling myself not to chase my money, and I will get it back in the following weeks...There really isn't much you can do, except not stray from your style of play... Guest Posted January 2, 2006 Share Posted January 2, 2006 Thank u all for the replies, I also thought it was +EV on a table like this and I did stay on, some of the really loose players busted and left and table broke up shortly after.I still remained "card dead". My main concern was too many family pots(6-7 players) might of been as good as 3-4 players pre-flop.Just wondering what most of you thought. :wink: Link to post Share on other sites
PA32R 0 Posted January 2, 2006 Share Posted January 2, 2006 I know that frustration - 3 or 4 players w/ vpip over 50% at a 10 player table, people playing hands like 860s and calling down when the flop is like K96 and you can't catch a damn thing. You keep thinking "if only..." and how it's the perfect table but...The thing is, it is the perfect table. I'd go back again and again and stay as long as i could keep my eyes open (or until offered a blowjob or something). bettisrules 0 Posted January 3, 2006 Share Posted January 3, 2006 this is how the local casino i play at isit is i find the most difficult to play it is alright to have maybe 2 or 3 really bad players/calling stations but when there is 7 or 8 it makes it near impossible to win when 6 people see the river consistentlymost of you may think oh just wait and pick your place but when u get a set of aces cracked by runner runner inside strait there is nothing skillful i found you can do but leave the table Link to post Share on other sites

Sure with 1 person chasing the runner-runner flush, and another chasing the gutshot, and a couple more with bottom pair chasing two pair, and someone else chasing with overcards you get sucked out on a lot. But if your probability to win is 20% that's all you need to be profitable. Of course hopefully it's better than that anyway.Of course large swings you are going to lose most pots, but the ones you win are big. All you have to do is not chase when the odds aren't there to save your bets and it's a juicy game. And of course play the right starting hands. Getting paid of five ways on every street when you have the stone cold nuts is great fun, makes up for all the suckouts that will happen (remember if they only happen 80% of the time it's profitable Link to post Share on other sites
