*sigh* anybody else ever had this

Now, I dont have a huge online bankroll to begin with, but I pretty much lost the whole thing today on FTP on 4 hands over the period of the day. I dont play in very high stakes because of the size of my bankroll, but these hands seem pretty damn extreme. Just curious if anybody else has had this type of run. Has me thinking about ditching online play for good and sticking only to live games, at least I havent run into this in any one session of live play.First hand was hold emI'm on the button with AA, one limper from early position and I re-raise 4 times the BB. He calls. Flop comes 3 K A rainbow. I bet the pot and the limper pushes all in, I call. He turns over KK. Turn is a blank and the river brings another K.Second hand was hold emI'm in the BB with AKs, two limpers in front of me, I raise it 3 times the BB, one of the limpers fold and the other calls. Flop comes A A K , I check hoping to catch him stealing and the limper pushes all in, I cant call fast enough, he shows pocket 8's. Turn and river both come 8's. Second huge hand of the day to quads.Third hand was hold emI'm in middle position and its folded to me pre-flop, with JJ I raise it 3 times the BB. The small blind re-raises and I call. Flop comes 3 6 J rainbow, SB bets out the size of the pot, I re-raise and he calls. Turn comes an A and the SB pushes in, I call and he turns over A3os(*edited, typed A4 instead of A3*). River comes A so he caught runner runner A.Fourth and final hand was OmahaOne limper in front of me while I'm on the button with TTAQ I raise it 3 times the BB, he calls. Flop comes 2 7 T, limper pushes and I call. He shows 77's, so its his set of 7's to my set of 10's, and he catches the last 7 on the river for my third loss of the day to quadsI know we have all had our bad beats and bad days, but those four hands sure made me squirm more then normal, I guess mainly because they came inside a 4 hour time frame, and I have yet to see anything even remotely close to that string in live games, and I have many more hours logged at live games than I do online.bleh, guess I'm just venting

My favorite BS bad beat is when you flop top set with JJ and the guy hits runnign Aces to beat you with A 4 off even though that wouldn't make him a higher boat. Try to be more creative and accurate next time you make some shit up.

It's funny how many people actually think that A4o is the winner here. I played in a home game the other night and they swore that the A4 was the winning hand in this situation. Unreal.

No, not in the same session. But yes on the same day, was all today over a 4 hour period of playing, logged on and off two or three times. And yes I screwed up typing the last one, I fingered the 4 instead of the 3, he made A's full not a set. Dont really care if you think their made up, lost my money on those exact hands none the less.

Nice name calling speedkills, you are right, it must be because I'm a moron and not simply a typing mistake, thats the ticket. Hey by the way, you screwed up spelling one. Does that make you a moron, or is it a typo?

Of course it was a mistake  Oh, and it probably isn't the best idea for your first post to be a bad beat story, or in your case...bad beat stories. Actually, it's probably best if you never post a bad beat story again.Do you have any Hand Histories saved?

No, how do I do that? I do keep them in a journal, but that is just a notepad that I write on. Is something I read Howard Lederer advise people to do as they start out in poker, so I have kept that of each hand I'm involved in. Dont know how to keep em saved on my computer though. I wont share anymore either, guess I didnt know they would get anybody riled up in here. But its good, I've never had anything like this before myself and thought it was an oddity, I guess by the reaction of everybody thinking it was fake I was right.

Well, let me just say this.. the odds that these beats actually happened verses the odds that you made this up.The first two hands you mentioned, if they had happend to you in the casino I play at, you would have won a "bad beat jackpot" of about 30,000... the second jackpot would be much less, since you had just one the first jack pot.The other two hands, while not jack pot winners, are compariably unlikely. So, not to get mathimatical on you or anything, but the odds of this happening to a random person are roughly the same odds of janet Reno being a woman. That is so close to zero chance, we'll just call it zero.On the other hand, the chance that a poster with 4 whole posts on the forum just made somethign up out of his ass is much, much higher. As in 100 percent. So you can see through the use of higher math why the people of this forum are suspicious. At any rate, welcome to the forum.. PM Tritz and ask him to send you some poker software.

If 4 buyins is pretty much your whole bankroll, you are playing way over your head.

My true FTP story, happened 2 days ago... I posted it in the Omaha 8/b forum. I have KK35 ds, flop comes 333A guy min bets into me, someone else calls, I call. Turn 8.He bets into me again ( a larger bet), a caller, I raise and get the first guy to call me, the second guy folds.River 8.He bets his last few chips, I call, I see 88 of course. Runner runner quads when I flop quads. FTP, goodbye, back to UB for good.989-1 right? I have felt the sting of a perfect-perfect... and it sucks.

How long did it take you to make up these beats? Haha, i actually got a laugh out of some of these. These supposed to be all in the same session too?
Agreed. KK only calling the raise preflop. 88 going all in on that flop. Give me a break. We know you donked away your bankroll.

not quite 989-1. its omaha, so there are more dead cards. plus, with two players in, there was possibly other running quad or running straight flush draws.close enough to 989-1 though, just pointing that out.
