Joe Mulli 0
This is not about "changing gears" at the table. I like to consider myself a loose player, but as of late I have style of play has gone from lose to tight... and I hate it! The reason is the past tourneys I have played I would lose to a pair one higher than myself (77 to 88, 99 to 1010 ect), plus I feel like everyone knows what I am holding before i even bet. So I am in this weird funk that I can not get out of. Any suggestions would help. Mulli
Leedspokerguru 0
Generally in tourneys you have to be more tighter to win/finish in the dosh frequently. If your still playing tourneys keep working on getting tighter. 10 10 and below isn't considered tight i'm affriad. Certainly not all in (only against the right opponent in the right situation). Try all ins only on QQ KK and AA, if you've got enough chips to play with then don't play big pots with lesser PP. Also top SNG strategy for the first 2 or 3 levels of blinds don't play ANY(except the very best) HANDS. Seriously. You'll see 2 people out after the fist 2 levels or at the very least very weakend. Then as more people drop out play your naturally loose game(just a notch tighter than now) and you should find that helps more on a consistent basis. NL cash games are another story.
