royal vegas poker is laughable!

Recommended Posts

Last night I decided to try Royal Vegas Poker. They gave me $10 free so what the hell. I signed up for a WSOP Level 2 qualifier for $5.50. It was a 10 seated table. For anyone not familiar with these things; you can advance up the ladder and if you win level 6 you get a seat at WSOP. Sounds like a good deal. The only problem is, playing on RVP is like Andy Dufresne crawling through a mile of crap to reach the outside, or in this case, a seat in the WSOP.I must have been booted off about 6 times. I didn't see a flop for an hour. The worse cards I have ever seen; although this is not RVP's fault I'm sure. I was probably dealt pocket aces during the times I was booted off...lol.The software is absolutely horrible. It's slow and looks like online poker's version of Tammy Faye Baker! The time it takes to award prizes is also slow. I busted out in 3rd when I was all-in with A :) K :) and hit an ace on the flop. The bozo who called me managed to turn his 9 :club: 6 :D into a flush when he hit runner runner :) . Anyway, I managed to win back my buyin as only 1st and 2nd advanced to level 3.I was going to try again immediately but when I went to register I only had $4.50 ($10-$5.50=$4.50). I just finished 3rd and won $5.50 so where the hell is it? I contacted support, which is by the way, the only positive thing (other than the free $10) I have to say about RVP. I explained the situation to "Kevin" and he tells me that it could take up to an hour before they credit my account. Wow, am I spoiled at UltimateBet or is it like this at most places?Sorry to go on so long but my points are:1. Royal Vegas Poker sucks!2. I don't know if I will even bother playing the poker forum challenge. 3. $10 free is good.4. Apparently, you need to disable Norton when you play on RVP as they do not get along. An opponent, who I coincidentally ended up knocking out, was nice enough to let me know.

That's funny, but the tournament was over. Did you not see "Kevin's " response that it could take up to an hour?

I play at RVP all the time and play most of the big buyin tournaments. I've never had 1 single problem youve described and always get my money as soon as the tourney is over. I love that place... easy competition, Tourneys are great.. I have no problems with it

sadly i have played on that disgrace of a site before when attempting to qualify for the college champs freeroll. anyways the site is terrible in almost every aspect. it's very slow, the interface is awful, the way in which you are forced to make bets is very akward, and the time given to make a decision or bet is not long enough, especially if you consider the format they give to make bets. also i never seemed to get good cards on the site and the flops always came out pretty fishy if you asked me, usually low cards with trips on the board almost every time. anyways it is by far the worst online site i have ever played at and would never ever invest any actual money to play on that farce of a site.
