Just wondering, why is the minimum age to be your protege 19 years old? 18 year olds can play poker just as legally as 19 year olds, so why the extra year?
The final event of the Protege will take place in a casino and the minimum age of entry for the possible casinos is 19.

Final details about where the final table will take place aren't ready to be announced at this point.
I thought that info has already been released (I won't mention the casino) but maybe the details haven't been fully worked out yet.

What about a maximum age for the protege? I have a hard time imagining me, at 44, the Boy Wonder protege of Kid Poker lol. It'd be fun, but I couldn't keep up with the parties, I don't think, unless I took up some of Stu Ungar's "hobbies".Not that I think I'm going to get anywhere, in particular, but maybe I'll give it a shot...

Another question about the age, it says that the winner will get entries into 4 $10k buy-in tournaments, but aren't almost all MTT's with this buy-in 21+? Would a 19 year old winner just not get these?
This is a taken directly from the Terms and Conditions for the Portege Program. http://www.fullcontactpoker.com/promotions...-conditions.phpMust be at least 19 years old to WIN the Daniel Negreanu Protégé Grand Prize Package; HOWEVER, you must be at least 21 years old to WIN the (4) $10,000 Buy-ins into major poker tournaments prize offering within the overall Grand Prize Package

At what time exactly, do you have to be 19 years old? This is very important because I am 18 and a half years old right now.My birth date is June 7.Will I be eligible for this challenge?Thank you very much in advance.

Since the final table will be played in late April if you turn 19 in June you won't be eligible.

If the age to win the contest is 19, but you cant receive the full prize unless you're 21, will there be some sort of equivalent prize given? Also, there are a few "major" tournaments that are 18+ such as the PCA, the Aruba tourney, probably a couple others outside the US.

If you're under 21 I would make the assumption that if I win the Protege contest I won't be getting the buy in to any $10K tournaments. That doesn't mean you won't get any where an under 21 can play and it doesn't mean there might not be some other prizes you'll get in place of the tourney buy ins but there is no guarantee.
