car lease ending, want to finance (buy back)..

Recommended Posts

i was wondering if anyone could offer some advice/help..my lease comes due in feb...i want to finance my car so that i will be paying monthly for it till it' mine..it's a GM car.the dealer said that i need to have an emissions test and have the car certified.why would i need to have it cert.? i am buying it afterall, not them...and as far as certs. go, if my parking brake light stays on (dash), or the window doesn't roll down, would that prevent it from being certified?thanks.

Not a clue. I dont mean to flame...but leasing is for suckers
why? i had a .9% interest rate for 4 yrs.i also put 0 down, and my payments were very low, which i needed at the time.

Right but you have to give the car back. .9% is great, but you built up no equity. I guess if you got REALLY low payments it might be worth it but you'd be missing out on making payments on a vehicle that you would OWN. Plus it helps with credit to own a vehicle and all that good stuff

When you lease a car, you're paying for the depreciation of the vehicle's value... if you get a good lease-rate, your low payments might actually be lower than the value the car loses.Generally, leases aren't nearly as bad a deal as people think they are. The way these things are accounted for can be complicated, but if it really WERE a huge ripoff, I don't think so many people would be making the mistakeWang

I highly recommend it if you do not drive a lot. if you do, it sucks.
