FCPHA: Big Table in the Back

I thought Sony put out a Blu-Ray player with better options than what the PS3 has for like 500? If your gonna primarily watch movies why not get that? I've never been a big fan of gaming systems doubling as dvd/hd players.
Well, here's my reasoning. There's 2 HD standards with regards to DVDs now. There's Blue-Ray HD DVD (Sony) and HD-DVD (Not sure who made this one). This is a Rinse, Lather, Repeat of the Sony BetaMax vs VHS wars! In these kind of battles, Sony usually loses. BetaMax lost (Even though they were better), Sony Memory Sticks lost to SD Cards, etc.So if i just bought the Sony Blue Ray dvd player and Sony loses again, i'm out 500.OR For an extra hundy or so, i can have the PS/3 that is a Blue-Ray player that also plays games. It also does alot of other stuff. As i said, i haven't played a game on it yet, but it's been in constant use.Nancy used it to check her internet mail on it. We looked at pictures from her trip that she had burned on cd on my 42" tv. I've played movies. ANDAn Xbox-360 Live plays HD-Dvd formatted dvds. that's about 400. which i'll get in a little bit.So an Xbox and PS/3 together is about a grand. LG just came out with a stand alone player that does both, it costs a grand. For my grand, I can play both formats of HD DVDs and can still play games! Which the LG player doesn't!That's my reasoning!

Oh that doesn't make me feel like a disgusting perv or anything!
I still don't see a problem.

Sounds like you can't lose on this one.

The fact that you have not heard it means you have not sought it out. The fact that you have not sought it out means it's not important to you. The fact that it's not important to you means Nik's not as important to you as I assumed she would be.This saddens me.

Is there anyone that still needs a roomie for the trip? I wanna get it figured out so if I have to fend for myself, I can get that set up.

The HDDVD for Xbox is an add on and does not have HDMI support unless you buy an Elite.

I get this a lot when people are talking about movies. I have not seen and have no desire to see any of the Harry Potter, Star Wars, Shrek or Spiderman movies. I probably don't see most of the top grossing films.
But you have all of her flicks right?star_tory_lane_5_promo.gif

I'd say I have a spare bed, but I honestly don't know what I'll end up with using Expedia. I asked for 2 beds, but I could end up sleeping in the hallway. I won't be able to check with the hotel until 7 days before my arrival date.

When I booked, they told me my room had only 1 bed. Not even sure if I'll have a couch. This is the wrong thread for that anyway.

I played some PLO 6-max with him last night, so we can rest assured he's not dead.
P.S. It's a fun game when you recognize you have the boat...Once i did and won a giant pot. Once I didn't and called a small river bet. Some sites have a small dialogue box with your current best hand displayed. I suppose that would be -EV, though, if I was smarter...Why help the bad players, right?elisha-cuthbert-toro-2.jpg

Yeah, ESPN reported this breaking news between the softball games. Not sure yet if it was a strong rumor or definite or how many notebooks it was reported in.Edit: As of now, they're saying the job has been offered to Donovan, don't know if he's even talked to them.

A true superstar.Sidenote: Not sure why porn make me think of this, but where's Stan been lately?
He's like the family pet. He might run away from time to time but he always finds his way home.

fter weeks of waiting for the University of Florida to finalize his new seven-year contract, the Orlando Magic have entered Billy Donovan's world and given him another substantial offer to ponder. After leading the Gators to the last two national championships, the 42-year-old Donovan received a firm contract offer on Wednesday morning from the Magic, the Orlando Sentinel reported on its Web site Thursday afternoon. The offer is for six years at $6 million per year, a source told ESPN.com's Pat Forde. Team officials told the Sentinel that Donovan is expected to take the job. When asked about the job Wednesday, Donovan told the newspaper he had not spoken with the Magic. Donovan had not contacted Florida athletics director Jeremy Foley as of Thursday afternoon to say whether he's accepted the job, a source close to the situation told ESPN.com.Donovan's new contract at Florida -- it was presented to him on May 17 but he had yet to sign it as of May 25 -- was to pay him around $3 million in the first year. The contract then was to escalate to more than $3.75 in guaranteed income by the end of the contract in 2013-14, a person familiar with the negotiations told ESPN.comThe 42-year-old Donovan is one of only 12 college basketball coaches to win multiple national championships. The Gators won their second straight in April after beating Ohio State. The Magic removed Brian Hill as coach on May 23 after two consecutive losing seasons and a first-round sweep in this year's playoffs.Information from ESPN.com's Andy Katz and Mark Schlabach was used in this report.
