dolfan 0
They either looked at the slope/rating at the course you played and adjusted it to the course you're on to get the handicap for that course, and they've probably had enough sandbaggers before who come in and give high handicaps so they make room for adjustment, until you play enough rounds there to get a certified handicap, so that you don't just clean up and make it unfun for everyone else. The funny thing is, the course our league plays on is "easier" than the course that gave me the 22 handicap. The guy gave me a 16 based on the 2 scores I posted while I played with the league as a replacement for players who couldn't make it that week. When he told me, "Based on your two rounds, I put you down for a 16," I told him that I thought that may be a bit high and a little unfair but he didn't really care. When I told one of the guys who had seen me play that I was an 11 (nine holes) but they gave me a 16 he was all surprised and said I shouldn't even be an 11. Yeah, he takes this league sort of seriously. But my partner, a lady, drinks beer and is cool so I'm happy. I birdied the first hole I played as her official partner in the league and everyone cried "Sandbagger." My subsequent triple bogey on the following hole, and overall score of 50 for the round shut them up.

Fill me in.They had 3 levels of sats, $100, $200 and $300 if I remember right. They pay out in $500 tourney chips that you can use for any event.

mulhs82 2
Looks like Binion's is trying to get back some of the crowd from the WSOP, or at least some of the overflow.Lunch was paid for by a couple of people I work with, so that was good.I want to go golfing and get a handicap. Although the 3 times I play is probably not enough to actually get a handicap, or justify the membership fee so I can get one.
