OMG .......... I can't believe I forgot this. While Michael, Alan and I where walking in the line to the airport security check point, BOTH Alan and I turned and around I thought Michael had ditched us. Alan said "Where's Michael, I can't see him." Then this rather tall and wide woman leaned forward and we saw Michael was only a few feet from us next to this lady. We couldn't stop laughing. After joking about that the entire trip, we couldn't believe we actually couldn't see him. It's one of those moments you probably would have had to have been there to appreciate. But trust me when I say it was hysterical.

cute. Actually, I don't mind what you say as much as that other dude with the pornstar avatar. He just likes to rail on the mods for every injustice that he sees, and honestly, I seriously doubt that he would be able to handle the job at all. He really doesn't realize the rediculousness of much of what he says. I will say this though, ask yourself why you have to always complain, and think about how fucking annoying it is dealing with it on the basis that I have to deal with it. THere comes a point where one stops listening to the bitches and moans. I haven't reached that point yet, but, with all of the micro-managment of every single decision that I make really gets to be annoying and starts becoming a waste of my time in even bothering answering. Seriously, why on earth should I post in every single thread that I lock and move, when most of the decisions are painfully obvious as to why I took the course of action I chose

The Strat section's drowning on itself, General is a fucking wasteland and if you don't think this place means just as much to you as it does to me--you're fucking crazy. Have I been here as long as you? No--but I lurked for a few months before I joined. I put a lot of time and effort into the Strat Section and I just got shit on. I tried to have real discussions with people and I just got shit on. No, my mistake, Keith.You do a good job--and I know it's not a real rewarding one. But, honestly? I'm frustrated with the way things are shakin' out on this site. All these posters who think that if you disagree with them you're jumping their shit--I almost liked it better when Smash was around and would just rip open the idiots--at least then they just eventually faded away after their three posts. Now, they get their own stickied thread and post stupid pictures on EVERY, SINGLE, fucking thread, cry about the moderating, cry about how bad this site sucks, go into strategy and give absolutely worthless advice--it's just very frustrating to me.I invested a lot of time and a lot of thought into my strat posts--I'd stay up late into the night writing some of those articles. I don't feel a sense of entitlement, but a degree of fucking respect would be nice, you know? I'm a winning player--I have been for a few years now, I know what I'm talking about, when I'm talking about it. erik, we see eye to eye on many points. I really wish that the NLHE section could get a purging of posters. In some ways, I wish smash would be himself in general, but the more and more I read his posts, I have come to the conclusion that he blew his wad on advice very early on and has basked in that since. I just read his posts, and the hero worship that then comes just mystifies me. He really hasn't provided anywhere near the level of content that many give him credit for, which is not to say he hasn't provided anything, its just that outside of his 50-1K threads(of which he stopped doing at around $600) what has he really given this forum. All he has really done is teach people to nut peddle at various games, which IMO breeds bad habits if they want to play higher then 2/4

No, I 'get' Smash. He probably 4 tables 3/6 and makes some decent money doing it--but I don't know that I'd take his word on 40/80. I just miss the dynamic that used to work--that people were chastised for stupidity instead of having it--I don't want to say, rewarded..but, I dunno. I guess I just don't understand when this place got so far away of actual poker talk. Maybe we've just covered everything, maybe it's the average age of the posters, maybe it's just the fact that this site's kind of taken after it's owner--(Who made the play? One a Day's?)that make it difficult to have the kind of intellectual debate and talk about the finer points of poker theory--it's just an apathetic feel, and I don't like it.

the apathy bothers me to no end. People want things to revolve around general, and I personally hate that. People get so revolved around it that they think if a thread gets moved to a strat section it will invariably die. Well, shit, why don't they post in there to begin with. I also dislike how much people want to try to show off how much of a smart ass that they can be. I liked what you wrote in general, but, the degradation of the thread is sad and shows what is happening here. There is no reason that this site can't be one of the best sites. People want to post on pocket fives instead of here, and that is because at P5s they are serious about poker discussion. Everyone then tries to say that 2+2 is so much better, but, I am a frequent poster there, and everything that people say about the site is only partially true, they just look at the site through eyes only seeing what they want to see. When you view those viewing 2p2 forums, the most viewers are either viewing BBV(bad beats varience) or OOT. I have also noticed that posters that used to post here now post there a lot more, and these are strat posters. People are afraid of being wrong here, or get obscenely defensive if there is a differing POV. Actual discussion gets lost and instead threads turn into a shit storm. It saddens me, and I really think that something needs to happen to get this place back on the right path, but it is a little on the extreme side, and wouldn't be popular at all

............ and I'm spent.  No seriously I am.  I am exhausted.  This was one crazy weekend and to be honest I think I got more sleep than anyone else there.  I know everyone is probably gonna do long trip reports, post pics and stuff, so I figured I'd just make a list of my top ten most memorable moments. Some of the highlights of the weekend I missed (i.e. sweaty pillow fight, white rapper guy, "i don't like orgasms"), so this list only includes the stuff I was actually around for.  Here it is:10)  Norm's radioactive stomach.  It's like some sort of supernatural occurence.  9)  After spending 30 minutes at a 1/2 nlh table talking to Alan (Renae's husband with the Oklahoma accent) the guy on my right said, " Where are you from?  I love your accent."  I responded, "I don't have an accent ....... oh censored."    8 )  Patty eats snails ............... ewwwwwwwwww7)  "$100 on Black ! " Duh.6)  The look on Dustin's face while watching Alan get a lap dance from the most "bendy" girl I've ever seen.  Even I got wood.5)  Michael begging for change in the airport.  Hopefully the picture will be posted tomorrow. (Homeless jokes never get old.)4)  "This is holdem right? Then I'll raise."3)  Discovering Renae and Kristen are even sweeter in person.  It's impossible not to love them.  2)  Pete Rose Says Fuck You !!!!!!!!!!!!!1)  Seeing my Alan for the very first time.  (Sorry Micheal, I wasn't ignoring you.  I just didn't see you there little guy :wink: )    It was an awesome trip I can't wait to go to the next one (crosses my fingers and hope I'll be able to come in July).I love you all !!!!  It was awesome to meet you guys.
