So I'm playing stud last night and have AA showing. Make a 7th street bet and get called by a guy who could beat my a pair of AA. Are people routinely this dumb that they'll call the bet when the can blatantly see they're beat.

I'm assuming you meant you got called by a guy who couldn't beat AA.

I have a question for those of you who know things.Everyone got this email yesterday. I notice it says "proxy avoidance" but I'm not sure what they mean because of the formatting of the paragraph. In the original email (and the formatting gets all messed up when I copy/paste it into here) the first 5 items (adult content, gambling, etc.) were in a column on the left and the 2nd list of items (phishing, proxy avoidance, etc.) were on the right so as to look like a list of 10 things that would be blocked. However, the 2nd set of things aren't all websites to be blocked are they? How are they going to block websites on "spyware effects"? That just doesn't make sense to me.I'm assuming FCP is gonna get blocked. Will I still be able to use Norm's proxy, you think?Date: January 31, 2008To: All FAA Employees and ContractorsSubject: The New FAA Internet Filter System This memo talks about how FAA employees and contractors use the Internet while at work. Our main purpose is to tell you about our new website blocking system. The Internet is a tool we use at work and in our personal lives. Some things you might do on the Internet could be unethical or even illegal. That is why the FAA has the following policies and directives that tell us the right way to use the Internet at work: Directive 1370.79A: - FAA General Internet Use Policy FAA Order 1600.125: - Protecting Sensitive Information FAA Order 1110.125: - FAA Accountability Board FAA Memo, June 19, 2007: - Peer-to-Peer Networking and File SharingWhen FAA employees and contractors don’t follow these rules at work, it wastes professional time, slows down our computer system and can result in lawsuits and computer security risks. It is possible to lose your job if you don’t know about and follow these rules. We want to tell you about new software that will help you and the FAA carry out these policies. We studied, bought and are ready to use a new Internet filter that will block access to certain websites. We will start using this software on February 4, 2008. At that time, we will begin blocking your access to these types of websites:Adult/Mature Content Gambling Pay to Surf Peer-to-Peer Violence/Hate/RacismPornographyProxy AvoidanceSpyware Effects/Privacy ConcernsSpyware/MalwarePhishing (identity theft)FAA employees and contractors who try to access these types of websites will get a webpage with the following message:“Your request to visit www.website.com was denied because the FAA has determined that accessing a web site that has content that falls into the category of “Blocked Website Category” is an unauthorized use of FAA Internet resources.FAA Order 1320.79A, Internet Use Policy, sets FAA policy on the appropriate use of FAA Internet resources. This Order prohibits using FAA resources for any purpose that violates the law or FAA rules, regulations and policies. To prevent unauthorized use of FAA internet resources, web sites which fall into certain categories not considered necessary for conducting agency business are blocked. To view other unauthorized categories, click the Help Link on the left side of this page. If you feel you have received this message in error or have a legitimate need to access this site for business purposes, please contact your national or local helpdesk: ARC Nat'l Helpdesk - xxx-xxx-xxxx ATO Nat'l Service Ctr. - xxx-xxx-xxxx AVS Support Central - xxx-xxx-xxxxTo return to the previous page, click the Back button.”An electronic log will be kept of these messages. The FAA Internet Configuration Control Council reviews all internet activity and will continue to refine this process. FAA Human Resource Policy Manual ER 4.1, Standards of Conduct, Chapter 6, states, in part, “All Internet and electronic media access accomplished by FAA users (utilizing Government supplied resources) shall be consistent with assigned duties and responsibilities or consistent with the official business interests of FAA. Incidental, non-government purpose, use of the Internet is permissible as long as such use does not interfere with official business and involves minimal additional expense to the Government. Such incidental use must not violate any Federal or FAA rules, regulations or policies. All employees are subject to unannounced periodic monitoring to assure that the employee is not engaging in any activity that would discredit the FAA.” Employee inappropriate use of Internet access is a serious matter and could result in formal disciplinary action, up to and including removal. If you have any questions about this, please contact the Information System Security Officer for your line of business.Ventris Gibson, Assistant Administrator for Human Resource ManagementDave Bowen, Assistant Administrator for Information Services and Chief Information Officer

I am blocked from You Tube, My Space, Ebay, anything porn and I am sure Justintv and facebook are going to follow really soon.. FCP has not yet been blocked because the IT guy who I was friends with didn't block it even though it comes up on the filter as a gambling site. However he got fired on Monday so I am sure the minute I log into FCP outside the proxy it will now get blocked. I was using the proxy this whole time anyway just because Paul told me it comes up as a gambling site and I didn't want that to show under my name here. Norm proxy has not yet been blocked on me and they got pretty strict with us.

PS I can also not log into Myspace, Ebay, Facebook, JTV etc.. through the proxy because they need a secure connection but I can use it for FCP.. however you lose the "quote" option when trying to quote things to reply to later.. as well as the tool box for Bold, strikethrough etc.. and the smiley face box
