How did you get that, then?How'd we get on stage or how'd we get backstage to talk to Stoney?Hayley hooked us up for Stoney. I've met Stoney a couple of times before. At the venues he usually plays, there's no need for something like a meet & greet. There's just not that many people and it's just a bar so Stoney usually just comes out to the merchandise table to meet people after his shows. So I've met him at the Wormy Dog and I've talked to him at Grady's before one of his shows there once. This was a festival though. It was on a military base and he was opening for Merle Haggard and Miranda Lambert so there was a big stage and a formal "backstage"area and all that. No wandering around the bar talking to people kind of thing at this show. Hayley is a DJ so she just called up his booking agent and said "Hey, I'm with whatever station in Jamestown, ND and I'll be seeing Stoney at this show and can I get some passes to talk to him after the show". His booking agent said no problem. We went back, he was awfully sweet. Told me it was nice to see me again. Talked to Hayley about playing his music in ND. Thanked us for coming. Blah, blah, blah. His sound/stage manager, Dusty, took our picture.Courtney hooked us up to be on stage with Wade & Randy. She's friends with Randy and she's really good friends with Randy's merch guy, Toby. Toby gave her 2 backstage passes. We were watching the show from backstage with Toby's wife when Wade looked over and gave Toby's wife the "come here" finger wag and pointed at the couches behind him and Randy on the stage. She laughed and flipped him off. Then Randy's stage manager came over and started goading us into going out there and sitting on the couches. He dared us. So of course we did it. We hurried out there really quick between songs when the audience was clapping and stuff so they didn't see us come out. Randy started his next song and Wade looked over at Randy and I guess saw us out of the corner of his eye. He kind of did a double take and laughed. We only stayed one song. We left the stage with Wade & Randy and then they came back and played the encore. After that we watched the fireworks from the bus then we went in and played blackjack. Wade & Randy had a "private" table set up by the casino, of course, where they and Toby and Gregg (Wade's merch guy) and Kyle (Randy's stage manager) and Wade's bus driver played but we were at the table next to them and there was quite a bit of back and forth smart ass comments and high fives and stuff between the 2 tables. Shots were shared, toasts were done, - Randy and Wade's table got cut off from the bar twice - it was really really fun. When we left at 6am Kyle was passed out in the parking lot next to the bus.
