I'm about to drink wine and eat french fries. Gourmet.edit: Yep...I liked my own post.

I'm back in the land of cold weather, wind, and snow. I left CA on a day it reached 90 degrees and arrived in Anchorage to 12 degree weather, caught a plane to Unalaska where it was 34 with 2 inches o

Scott, what was your appliance epiphany?
The new front loading washers and driers can be stacked taking up much less space. That means I can move the laundry room from the basement to the second floor.

Which also means you don't trudge clothes up and down stairs every time. Good luck sir, sounds like you have vision and the wherewithall to carry it out.Good morning folks, caught up.

Okay, so my car started overheating again (I've put in 2 engines so far!!!) before I went to CA. I purchased a thermostat because Dave and I figured that was likely the problem. It's had a new water pump within the last couple of years. Today I consulted the great Goog and learned that bleeding the air from the cooling system may help. I did this and then took the car for a test drive (I drove it prior to this to confirm that the symptoms were the same) and it didn't overheat, even when I ran the air.

Last night was the first time I've lifted for over two weeks. I moved up in weight on my squat a little and my legs are soooo sore. I'm also back on the diet for real. Trying to get back into my zeros. Lunch was spinach salad with tuna, tomatoes (from my vines!) and cauliflower. I used the oil from the tuna and lemon juice for the dressing with some herbs. It was super tasty.

Something as simple as a leaking radiator cap can cause the exact same problem. To work properly the cooling system should be under pressure (that's why bleeding air helps.)

I just hope it stays fixed. I'll know to try that fix if it overheats again.

I received a sample of window cleaner that claims to be the best. I tried it. I'm not really impressed. I'll stick to windex.

my nephew Casey. This is the old family condo. We moved into it in 1971. It was the second condo complex ever built in 1968. The original developers went bankrupt after finishing two buildings and the foundations for three more. Another developer came along and finished a few years later.Mary and I moved in here in 1986. I put a lot of work into it and it was a pretty nice place. We moved out in 1996 and my sister and worthless BIL then moved in. They proceeded to completely trash the place. After she died he made it even worse. He moved out last year. Mom didn't want to fuck with the place anymore so she decided to give it to Casey when he came back from Iraq. She figured he could fix the place up. Turns out he has neither the skill nor the desire to learn the skills needed to do it.He wants to move to Bloomington to go to school and didn't know what to do with the place. I needed a place to move to so we made a deal. Worked out well for both of us.
Nice....but it sounds more like a townhouse then a condo
ehhh no.
i say go with pink

Question regarding Chicago tripWhen is everyone planning on hanging out? I thought I read something about a group dinner.I really have to go visit a buddy that lives in IA. We're thinking of flying into Chicago on the day everyone is having dinner....Do dinner/casino with you guys that night...Get up and drive to IA the next night and hanging out with my buddy...The airfare is really cheap right now..I just need to know whether to fly in Friday or Saturday morning.

Only time we were really planning on hanging out was Saturday night. The rest of the time everyone has plans to be doing other things.

Spending the day at work with a little Russian Jew who barely speaks English. Oh joy.
