Only one of my sweet 16 teams is gone so far.The poker tables were amazing last night too, not sure if it had anything to do with the tourney going on or not.That one hurt me. Wow, I knew it was one of their biggest weekends.Oh yeah, 1st weekend of NCAA's is HUGE there. If you want to hang out in the book during all the games, you have to save seats like overnight. tall0n 1 Posted March 19, 2010 Share Posted March 19, 2010 I don't want to get into the specifics because I have to protect my kid, but the older boy has managed to get himself embroiled in a crime investigation (from back in the Fall). I'm confident that he was not involved (I'm surprised by this myself), but he's being charged with this delinquency, nevertheless. It's not for anything violent, thank dog, because that would add all manner of unwanted excitement to the whole proceeding. After talking to the police in October and hearing nothing else at all, I thought this thing was done. Not only do I believe him to be innocent, but I don't think they do not have anywhere near sufficient evidence to even accuse him of anything. We've been sent a court summons. We have two appointments, the regular court preliminary hearing and some other meeting with a probation officer who will grill us about our home life and whatnot. This should be degrading and unpleasant. Plus it's on a Saturday. WTF? The summons gave no information whatsoever. It had typos in our names and didn't even have a name or phone number of someone I could contact to answer the numerous questions I have, including, WTF is he being charged with???? After like 7 reds in a row he bet $25, $50, $100, $200, $400, $1000, and finally $2000 on black. Lost them all and ran out of money.I didn't laugh until he left.Ah. We won award for innovation in control for something we threw on last minute with duct tape. I guess having Jessica explain it to the judges helped. Hope for more success tomorrow.
