laser mouse vs optical

Hey..Maybe it's just me but I've always had issues with optical mice. They tend to just 'jump' on me at random times during work, not fun.I'm dumping my old microsoft natural keyboard & mouse for a new set for my new office.Does anyone have a laser keyboard/mouse? Is it much more accurate then the optical. I've never tried them so I don't know if they are worth the $ as they are much more expensive.Thanks,

I've never had any problems with my optical mouse, and I've never owned a laser mouse. Don't go into the light. Oh fine...+1

I don't know what kind of optical mouse you had, but mine is Logitech and it rocks. I have had it for almost 5 years now and never had trouble with it. I have never used a mouse pad since I have had it so every once in a while dust collects under it and I just pull the little dust bunny out...kinda like lint from the dryer. But I love Logitech, I also have a Logitech optical mouse at work...it too rocks

Yeah, I'm not a computer person at all, so I just use the mouse that came with the computer. I think its a laser mouse and it works pretty well (I have a mac).

I gamed for years with a ball mouse. That's right, a ball mouse. I use an optical now, but I don't really game anymore, though. Everyone I know pretty much hates optical, and went from ball to laser. I dubt this helps.

i use a wireless keyboard and mouse(optical) by logotech and they work GREAT!!
