the canonization of dn's blog

Recommended Posts

Wow, you have been in baptized in the holy water....you think you are seeing the results of every poker session he plays--and even if so (it obviously isn't so by the way), you take on "faith" (shocker--the jesus experience again) they are reported with purity? It is Sunday--the day of the Lord--so I'm guessing it has peaked all of you disciples' fervor for the religion of DN.
Is it all christians you hate or just the ones that play poker? I resent your insinuations that just because Daniel is a christian and feels free to discuss his beliefs that he is some how turning himself into a Jesus figure. Sorry, but that completely invalidates everything you have said. Stick to attacking his poker skills since you have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to his faith.
I don't have hate for any group in generality, nor do I hate DN personally. What I am speaking out against is the shell game of diverting attention from losing poker by flipping over integrity, ethical, moral shells. Give me a break. It's always the same--the winning is poker content rich, the losing always has some sidestream of unholiness at work. It's unfortuante, but sometimes 'leaders" are judged by those that they lead...and the blind following and worship of DN and the aggressive response against any who dare speak out against him...reflects poorly on him in my mind. It's a chicken and the egg thing for me. Does he setout to be Jesus to you "fans" or do you elevate him to that position? I don't know--but the fact is this board is a religious hotspot for character worship...and some of you are so blind to it, it's disturbing.

Blah blah blah blah blah ...... that's all this sounds like to me. I'm not blind. I don't worship Daniel. I think he is a good poker player and I like to watch him play. The flaw in all of your above posts are references of Daniel expecting us to have "faith in him" or blaming "Satan for running against him." The only thing that is disturbing is your using religious metaphors to flame Daniel. You've got some serious issues and I don't think it has much to do with his poker playing as it does his faith.

When this guy provides some facts and/or evidence to back up his claims about Daniel's results, I might care about his crying. Until then, he is just another annoying idiot. I don't anticipate that happening any time soon.

The most entertaining thing about this moron Pocketboat is that while he continually bashes DN, all he really wants is for DN to come onto this thread and argue with him, or provide some sort of a response so that he can finally rub one out. This idiot also has KowboyKoop syndrome, where he refuses to be wrong, and actually enjoys being an idiot to censored people off. Someone needs to lock this thread or ban Pocketboat.
The last thing I want is DN to talk to me...what I want him to do is gather all of you around and feed you bread and fish and tell you he is not the Christ and that you should find your own way...the DN, JohnnyBax, NWP, et al religion is obnoxious, ignorant, and proletariat....
***********************************************Personally, although I don't agree with him, I find pocketboat kinda refreshing and his written "wit" is killin me here :club: !!If you don't wanna hear what people have to say, don't keep returning to the thread!!!

imo, here's a simple way to handle whether daniel is a good or bad poker player.I would assume that just about everyone into poker, even the NWP donks, would agree greenstein is a pretty great overall player who WINS money, no? Check his site, see what he says about Daniel, http://www.barrygreenstein.com/player.htm. while you're there, check what he has to say about dreamclown and the tinfoil guy...

this guy makes me laugh. I think that he is in love with DN but DN won't respond to his emails so he decided to lash out today. He jsut couldn't take it anymore. It'll be ok, you'll find someone one day that'll love to listen to you go on and on about nothing.

Pukeboat,Y0u state earlier in this thread that his results are not obviously as complete as DN says they are. Care to prove that?Until then, kindly go away.Thank you,Jesus ChristWhat's up with all of the DN hating anyway. It's not as though he came down to your workplace and knocked the sailor's d.icks out of your mouth anyway.

wow, this guy makes me look like a total fcp dn fanboy
Scotty you are good for the forum. Your opinions are fresh and you have a good understanding of the new young poker crowd. However this guy is just being an idiot, he says DN is a loosing player but has no proof. He needs to get back to his homework.

Wait, DN is cherry flavored? I'm confused. Is your problem that you think DN is losing and representing himself as a winner (according to you)? Or that people like him regardless of his results?

You people want to change the world by huddling with everyone you agree with...the way to change the world is not to huddle with those sharing your opinion but to reach out to influence those who don't. That said, the reason I posted this here is because someone needs to call bulls.h.i.t.: bull.s.h.i.t. If any of you aren't smart enough to see through the pretense of this blog, open your eyes.
If you are taking rooting for a poker player this seriously, then maybe you are the one who needs his "b.u.l.l.s.h.i.t" called down. And I gather you came to the right place for that. . .

y What I am speaking out against is the shell game of diverting attention from losing poker by flipping over integrity, ethical, moral shells. .
You keep saying, over and over again, losing poker. Where is the evidence of this? I'm not saying you should just take DN's word on that he's a winning player, but.... You state, as if it's fact, that he's a losing player, when all evidence ( IE his very ablility to play 4000-8000) speaks out against it, just making you seem like an absurd clown with an axe to grind. If you have evidence that DN's a sham, and that he got the money he uses to play in the big game by other means ( televangelism?) I'd love to hear it. Please spare me lame religious metaphors, and provide me with actual proof.

He self admittedly lost 45k and the whole post was about the ethics of poker that have been abandoned by the "new breed". He self admittedly loses significant sums of $ at the televised high stakes game, but the post is all about the donkalicious plays of his opponents, the divine fate of horrible luck, etc... He obvioulsy lost in his WSOP events/circuits and didn't make TOC and goes on a rant about the injustice that 3 weren't invited but not him. My point is: when he wins, it's straight poker content. When he loses (which he does with a lot more frequency and in a lot larger sums recently), it's all a shell game to keep the fan base in tune. There a million and one average poker players--and most don't have "worship me" sites. DN is losing his grip on being a "special player" that allowed him to create this family of fans, but has grown so accustomed to the revenue, the self-esteem lift, and the platform to preach that this board has afforded him that he has to spin his losing sessions into something more holy so that he isn't resigned to the fate of an average poker player. He needs these worshippers as much as the worshippers need him--I just think it's a sick symbiotic relationship.

Oh, what was that? No proof of him being a losing player, eh? Nice shell game yourself, avoiding my question.
