what other games (besides poker) do you play?

Recommended Posts

Other games I play besides poker are chess, RTS computer games, Euchre (midwestern card game), Hearts, and sometimes yahtzee. Sports I like are tennis, racquetball, darts, pick up basketball, golf. Games I'd like to learn eventually are backgammon and bridge (maybe when I'm 70).

Before getting into poker I played bridge for about a year or so and loved it (I'm only 24, not 70). As far as card games go, its the most complicated and strategic game I've ever played. I've had more fun with poker though because of so much more playing the player, taking money, and basically just trying to out-think your opponents. I play backgammon sometimes, as well as hearts and spades. As far as non-card games, golf and soccer are my two favorites, although I don't play soccer much anymore. And of course I have a variety of ps2 and x-box games.

I love Spades. Me and a buddy won a couple of tournaments in the Army.I'm a golf addict as well. We have a $50 buy in skins game every Sunday with 10-15 players. Which is why I don't play the Sunday tourney :D Erik

My main lifelong passion is Chess. Sadly I'm not amazing, but I'm solid. I've played tons of online and a good amount of RL tourneys for chess.Next is probably ping pong, pool, basketball, scrabble in that order.I plan on getting into bridge in the next few years. I've asked some of my good bridge friends what are the best first couple books to read.I used to like Magic, but haven't been into it for years.

cribbage/risk/euchre/hearts/gin rummy/backgammon/magicbeen playing a lot of connect four lately with the kids.speaking of kids i bought my son a cheap poker set for christmas. cheap chips, cheap deck of cards in a nylon zipper case. watching him play with his sisters is kinda funny. they all put in a different amount of chips and each get 2 cards. then they argue over who has the best hand. that's all there is to their game. maybe someday i'll teach them how poker is played and then take ALL their chips...mwaahaahaa

I kick ass on most of these gamesBoxxi is probably my best all time Maxx Touch screen game. Before poker, I would spend every Friday and Saturday night at an adults arcade drinking coffee or Mike's hard Lemonade and playing touchcreen games. I would hear others say... "wow, who is TAT?" "This TAT person has the high score on (insert game) , I could never beat that"I would just sit back, keep quiet and smile. Every month or so, the arcade would reset the game. People would see me come in and they would ask me not to play a certain machine because they didn't want their scores erased. I got very bored the last couple of years playing those games (I had been playing them for 5 years.) I was so glad when I discovered poker.

When I was younger I competed here in Pennsylvania in several Magic tournaments. Got too expensive though.I play a lot of WWII games, Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Battlefield1942 now.High School I played football and basketball- soccer and baseball when I was younger. Bowling a little on the side- my mother drug me to championships around the country. If there's a competition you'll likely find me in the middle trying to be the best I can be :D

Sadly, the game I've spent the most time playing in the last year other than poker is probably beer pong.Other than that, various trivia stuff and the occasional sports video games.
Beer Pong is money dude, just don't do it with keg beer it goes down way to fast then. Also another fun team drinking game is "flippy cup" A.K.A "tippy cup" but whoever thought of tippy is a clown because you flip the cups not tip them.
