I've lost a sizeable portion of my roll due to the following hands.AJ4 flop all in with AJ vs AQ, miracle turnAh Qh 4c flop all in with AQ vs J2 hearts7h 8h 9h flop all in with 10c 10h vs 7 7 ,I turned straight he rivered quads...7c 9c 3h flop all in with 6c 8c vs 8 9 I miss horriblyKc Jc 10s flop all in with 9c 10c vs Ad 6d, he somehow hits Q on turn that isnt a club. A 5 7 A 9, me AK vs A9not to mention a few others.I am sure everyone has suffered tragedies this bad, but this hailstorm of nonsense has been happening in all but 2 days. I've been losing 500$+ dollar pots left and right to 3 outers and even 2 outers. Then I push hard and pot committed myself on strong draws, and people are reraising me all in with mediocre when I shoulda took it down there. This week has been really discouraging and I had my 2 worst nights of my poker career , 2 days in a row. So I announce in an effort to regain my profits, The Comeback Tour. For anything of you that are down you should start a CT for yourselves. If you don't keep records of profits in excel, set an amount you want to gain and record how much closer you are after each day. This has worked for me numerous times in the past, and even though its only setting a goal I often do very well on the CT. None have failed.For all of you that play this game consistently, how do you deal with the downswings? What is your best advice on dealing with the hell this game dishes out some times? Someone please share their motivating stories from when this game kicked them in the throat, cause I sure as hell need to be motivated. I just started the CT a few hours ago. jayistheman 0 Posted December 14, 2005 Share Posted December 14, 2005 I did a comeback tour after my Ed Miller experiment fell short of greatness.I lost 100 of 150 (a 50 NL roll for shortstack), and took my last 50 to the 20 NL tables. Ever since then, I've been playing deep stacked normal game and winning. This was all just before thanksgiving, and now I am pushing $500 in the same 20 NL games. Link to post Share on other sites

It was all profit I lost but I've always played if you win 6K in one night, then lose 3K , I view it as down 3k. Any money I won and lost I consider it losses. Just bought pokertracker so I'm trying to figure out what I can conclude from it. Its fun looking at the stats. Hopefully I can conquer another 900-1300 before Christmas. The other night I was down about 1.5K-2K and the entire world was hanging in the balance. I decided I could not go into Christmas with the CT at negative 1000. So I played 25/50 NL for a lil bit with 1200 dollars. Probably sat for about 20-40 minutes and finally got a major hand. That solved that terrible night, then today earlier flop was A 3 5, I had 2 4 suited in BB , and bet out 24 on the flop, fold , then the SB raised me to 48, i make it 100 something and he flew all in. He had A 3 and I won like an 800+ pot. So I hope to god I can kick this thing in a few more days and be totally satisfied, cause I am already pretty happy. Good luck everyone.
