Recommended Posts

Real-life poker in my friends basement.Me and Jason(friend) were heads upJason: 180 in chipsMe: 165 in chipsEach chip = 1Pre-flopI have Jc 7dHe raises 10, I call.Flop comes Qc4hQdHe bets 20, I quick call it.Turn comes AsHe bets 20, I quick callRiver comes 4sHe bets 20, I went all in really fastHe folded, showing me 8-8Took him about 5 minutes or so.I figured that he played more of an aggressive style. When he didn’t raise on the A, I knew he didn’t have the Q or A. If he had the Q, and put me on an A (as he said he did), then he would have made the bet higher on the A. I knew he didn’t have the 4 or Q, so when I figured it, any of 3 cards or over cards could hurt what he had. Am I right at all?

yes, you are right....he folded.i kinda like doing that sometimes, the quick call with nothing. but, sometimes people pick up and it and theyre like ummmm ok, i'll just keep betting, you can "scare me" all you want. but good play. i dont see him calling with a low pair there. nice.
