TJ_Eckleburg 0
I think he needs to grow up, be a man, and get over his beats like everyone else.I think he needs to stop trying to intimidate amateurs or internet players by repeatedly referencing the behavior of the "Top 10 Players in the World," which he is no longer a part of, especially in cash games.I think THAT influence is bad for poker. I know there's varing opinions about Unger's skill level, and greatness.. but comparing ungar to a guy who once finished 4 in some WSOP event, and is famous for being a bum, is a joke. Elix powers is terrible. FUnny, yes. Good poker player? negative.

BigDMcGee 3,355
i was just comparing their aggressivenessplus as for being a bum stewie died about as bum like as anyoneYeah, but my point is, he was famous for his poker skills, not for being a bum. It's like franis the talking mule, only it's Elix, the poker playing bum.
keith crime 8
i understand but given their starts its probably more impressive to go from a bum to a televised poker tourney than to go from the preeminent card player of all time to a bum
Sushiman 0
McManus's book was crap. The parts about the WSOP were fine, except McManus tried to turn it into some kind of autobiographical self discovery opus when he was an inherently uninteresting person. He tried to make himself out to be some kind of balls to the wall gonzo journalist in the spirit of Hunter S. Thompson, and even actively compared himself to Benny Binion. Then we all got shown who the real McManus was on ESPN; a whiney, middle-aged white guy who can't handle it when a LAG decides to mix his play up at the poker table. The guy is a nit. And another thing that's good for poker is if any of his bed wetting fans read his book, and then play like that.. mmmmmmm that's very good for poker.
