mcpickl 0
Hey Razor,I am in Calgary now but was born and raised in NS. Wish I was going back but my spirit is there for sure.Good Luck to you back home. Thanks!Ya, I've got some mixed emotions heading back. I've been out here a little over a year, and I'm starting to settle in. The gf wants to move back though, so I said I'd give it a shot. Lots of friends back home though, so it should be pretty good.hey razor,i have a bunch of cousins that were on that shuttle too, from Antigonish NS to Calgary. Quite a different lifestyle with lots of things to do in Calgary and ummmmm not as much in NS. Did you originally go to Calgary chasing a job? Tough getting work in Novy. Good luck to you, hope it all works out well.
Guest
You're stereotyping... almost the same way as the rest of Canada stereotypes people from Ontario as being pompous dinks.you're wrong there I was to Ont and I did meet 2 nice people,..........Oh wait , no you're right the 2 people i met were from the east coast (sw)

Good luck to you, hope it all works out well.Ya, I was hired by a company in Calgary just after I graduated, so I headed out here. It's a completely different lifestyle, that's for sure, but I like Calgary. I'm going back to a job in NS, about an hour outside of Halifax. I'd really love to live in Halifax (I love that city in the summer), but I guess an hour outside will have to do for now.

Dubey 1,035
Razor,Which casino are you talking about. I go to the new Deerfoot Inn & Casino and they stated to me that they were only going to have $500.00 & $1000.00 buy-ins. Any normal person isn't going to give up that much money to play a weekly tournament. All they have at this point is 4/8 Limit min $60.00 buy-in and 1/2 NL min of $100.00 buy-inI am hoping to find like 50 + buy-in.Trying to get some home games going but living the the deep SE it's not easy.Once again GL in NS.That just opened ... where were you playing before that? Do they have a max buy in on the 1/2 NL? (just curious)Anyway, Cash Casino on Blackfoot Drive (NE) has $20 + $2 NL re-buy tourney's and $40 + $5 NL freeze-outs every day. The re-buy tourney's are at 1pm and the freeze-outs are at 7:30 pmThe Sat freeze out is $50 +5, but the levels are longer. 20 min blinds compared to the 15 min blinds through the week.Check out www.cashpoker.ca, all the info is thereYou can also play 4/8 limit there, 1/2 and 2/5 NL, i think they spread 8/16 limit too. They may or may not have omaha games every once in a whileStampede Casino (SW) has 3/6 Limit, and 1/2 NL and the occasional 2/5 Nl or dealer's choiceElbow River Casino (SW) which is also brand new and probabaly has the nicest poker room in the city has 4/8, and 15/30. No no-limit here. They play some pot limit and some other high stakes limit games, depending on who's in company on a given night. Then you have ABS (Calgary Casino). Never been there, but I hear a lot of players talking about it.Calgary ABS has a nice poker room. Thye spread 4/8 limit and a PL Dealer's choice game. I haven't been there since they started allowing 1/2 NL at Calgary Casino's, but I'm sure they spread that too. They also run a tournament every wednesday at 7:00. $20 buyin $5 rebuys, 55 players maximum, but you have to show up in person to register, and it usually fills up by about 4 o'clock. Nitro 0
I'm on P.E.I. but will probably make the trip to the casino at some point over the christmas break, meeting some fcper's would be a bonus as a I plan on moving to Halifax in April.I'm from PEI as well :-) I was recently in Halifax, about 2 weeks ago. We did make our way to the Sheraton Casino, unfortunatley all the hold'em tables were full, so I played the slots instead and lost 80 bucks, I need to stick to poker... go me.
