I do like the style from poker room since that's one of the many few sites that i can play with on my Mac. Great job on the site! I won a few dollars last night playing for the first time. It was sort of a pain to deposit your $$ in and stuff but hopefully it will be worth it. :club:

Awesome guys, serously. This thread hasd been VERY informative to me personally and I appreciate all of the feedback, both good and bad. I have been CRAZY busy doing media since the launch, but will be flying home to Vegas tonight and will have more time to play on the site as well as let the FCP team know what needs to be addressed. It seems like the biggest issue in this thread was the bonus. One of the posters mentioned that I might not be too familiar with clearing bonuses and he'd be right! I am going to look into it, though, and do everything that I can to be fair, and to also get you guys what you want.

I thought that I would share my experience with the new poker room so people could have some idea of what to expect (assuming people will bother reading such a post from a forum newbie). I signed up for the charter membership last month and got the email about the new poker room Tuesday late afternoon/early evening and decided Wednesday morning that I would try it out. I created an account and deposited $300 from Neteller, which resulted in me getting $330 in bonus money ($300 from the charter membership deal and $30 for using Neteller). While I have played at a number of different sites (Bugsy, UB, Stars, Party and FTP), I had never before played at a PokerRoom skin and decided to start off by playing a play money table to get a feel for the software. After about 20 minutes, I felt that I was ready to try the cash tables and proceeded to spend the bulk of the day playing .25/.50 NL tables 2 or 3 at a time. All told, I'd say I probably played about 18-20 hours worth of ring games. I also entered a $5+.50 tourney and a $5+.50 SNG. With that as the basis of my review, here we go:1. Level of PlayThe quality of play I saw yesterday was about the same as you would see at any of the other major online poker rooms at those limits. While the players were no worse than what you would see at Party, Stars or UB, they were no better either. As such, there is nothing about this aspect of the site that makes it any more worthy of playing there than anyplace else. With soft opposition available at any number of sites, the decision as to which one to play must turn on other factors:2. BonusFrankly, I have to say that the bonus really isn't worth the effort of trying to clear it. After approximately 20 hours of play, I managed to clear a whopping $4.33 from my $330 bonus. While I know I play at limits much lower than many of you, that's a horribly small amount of bonus to clear in that amount of time. As a point of reference, playing at those same limits at other sites, I cleared a $120 bonus from Party in about 3 days, a $100 bonus from Stars in about a week, an average of about $40-60 per day at Full Tilt, and about $20-40 per day at UB. I also have to say that it's kind of annoying that they only update FCP points and bonus earned once per day. If other sites can do it on a hand by hand basis, as almost every single site does (Full Tilt, Party, Stars, UB . . . ), I don't see why they can't do it a little more often than once per day. Now I have seen that a few of you have said that people should stop complaining about getting "free money". However, with a number of different sites to play at, the availability of a decent bonus structure is important in determining which site to play. Yes, the bulk of the money I win playing online comes from the other players. However, being able to earn an extra $40 or so per day in bonuses can certainly tip the balance in favor of one site over another. This is particularly true for those of us that play at lower limits. I received an email this morning stating that the site is considering changing over to a system based on raked hands similar to that used at other sites. If that ends up happening, then the bonus structure for charter members would actually be quite good. 3. Rake This is one area where I was pleasantly suprised. Unlike what I've seen at most other sites, which have a maximum rake of $3.00 no matter what limit you are playing, the maximum rake at the new site is lower for lower limit tables. For example, the maximum rake at the .25/.50 NL tables is only 1.00 and it seems to be set at 2x big blind on all low-limit NL tables. While I was playing yesterday, I noticed that it was not uncommon for pots to surpass the level where the rake was capped, which means that more money was staying in the pot than would otherwise be the case. 4. Software Though this is really a matter of personal taste more than anything else, I have to say that I'm not particularly fond of the table setup as it can be quite confusing at times. First, as someone else mentioned in an earlier post in this thread, the whole setup is rather cluttered and is just too busy. I also found that opponent's cards were so small that it was somtimes difficult to tell who was still in the hand. The chat feature is a mess and there doesn't seem to be a way to clean it up without eliminating all non-chat info. 5. Another Freebie Anyone that deposits should make one visit to the casino area. Creating a new account entitles you to two spins of the wheel, which gives you extra bonus dollars for your account. Lke the other person that posted on this thread, I also got $7 for my two spins, bringing my total bonus to $337.6. Customer Service This is one area where the site really shines. When I first started playing poker online, I played at Bugsy. Bugsy has a Live Chat help function that I always thought was fantastic. Not only does the new site have a similar live chat help function, they also have 24 hour help available by phone. After having suffered through the lack of such services at sites like Party and Stars, it's nice to see these options available. Conclusion Hope that the information is useful to at least some of you. I for one have decided that until something is done about the bonus structure that I will continue to play elsewhere.

its not a pokerroom skin it IS pokerroom with a Fullcontactpoker skin! The site is linked directly to pokerroom aka you play tournaments with people who play at pokerroom.
I can tell you're gonna add a lot of informative posts. Keep it up.

I signed up today and played a little bit on some of the play money and low limit tables. I got zeroed but I didn't notice it until after I deposited. I don't mind really it almost goes with my new alias. I am the_rake0 on FCP. I'm not that impressed with the interface. Coming from Full Tilt Poker I miss a lot of their nicer features particularly the last hand history you can pull up right from the table. Very useful in stud or omaha when reading hands takes more time.

I didn't get my full bonus for being a charter member nor did I get my neteller bonus. I emailed em and didn't get a reply so I decided to take my money and go somewhere else. The problem, my pin number won't work. I called the one person at live support, since no one replyed in the chat, and she couldn't help so now my small amount of money is all caught up in FCP with no way to get it out.

to my understanding, the avatars will be up shortly. I deposited a quick 25 bucks through neteller, got my 10 percent bonus, and another 25 dollars in free money. 25+27.5. Not. friggin. bad.

Regarding Free MoneyTo use your free money in the casino, transfer the free money to your casino account. To use your free money in poker, leave your free money in your cashier account and the free money will be converted to real money every 24 hours.
Hope this works out correctly. I just have to sit still for a day, and i'll have 52.50 in my cash account? Well done sirs.:edit:incite0 :? But i'll talk to support about that later; from what I understand, you folks are doing a fantastic job.

No, you won't. You have to play a million raked hands before you can touch your bonus, simple as that.I'm not joking either, probably like half of a million hands at 0.1/0.25 to clear that bonus!

There are two methods that Pokerroom skins use to calculate the awarding of bonus money. The least common method is the one used by FCP. That is a straight percentage of rake returned, right now you're giving a 50% rakeback. This is fine for a reload bonus, but a little on the low side for a signup bonus intended to attract new costumers. The other method is based on points required to earn a bonus. The standard among most of the Pokerroom skins and Pokerroom itself is that you need 10 points for every bonus dollar. So if a player has $100 in bonus pending, that player would be required to earn 1000 points to release the full bonus amount($100). For every 10 cents in rake, each player dealt into the hand receives .07 point So if the rake in a pot is $1 every player dealt in would receive .7 pointFor a person playing in a 10 handed game with 10 points needed for each dollar in bonus, this works out to a 70% rakeback. You can adjust the points required to clear a bonus depending on the type of bonus. For a signup bonus you could require a player to earn 10 points for each bonus dollar. And on a reload bonus you can adust it to whatever you desire. For instance 12 or 15 points required per bonus dollar released. From my experience on other forums that I frequent this latter method is preferred by most players.

The new FCP looks awesome. Everything DN has done with the relaunch have been great ideas, I think. True, the bonus isn't so great, but all I care about is playing and winning. Whatever BONUS money that comes to me is exactly that, an added bonus - so I'm happy.Everything looked so awesome, that I couldn't wait to go make my real money account, and I did so without the promo code. From reading through the thread, though, I guess it won't matter as I'll get all I'm entitled to as a charter member because I used the same email address.A chance to become Daniel's protege!?!? That is easily the coolest promotion I've ever heard of. WOW that would be so incredibly awesome!! It's too bad I'm not quite yet 21... Anyways, Daniel is not a sellout. Anyone who thinks so is quite ungrateful. As he said in his blog, online poker is important to him, and he wanted to be connected to a good gaming site. All he's trying to do here is make FCP better. Mayyyybe the relaunch is about him making money, so what!? More power to him. I think FTP is the best site out there, and I've played PokerRoom before and thought it was alright. I've been playing on FCP the last couple days, and quite possibly it will become my favorite software. This is all exciting, and I can't wait to hear about the other changes. And yeah, I have like no posts, but I've been reading the blog and visting the site for quite a long while now.

A lot of these questions/comments might have been answered/brought up before, but I couldn't find them while scanning through the threads.1) Is there a way to see your opponent's hole cards at showdown like on FTP?2) I noticed that the $ amount that appears at the bottom of the software in the main lobby isn't accurate. I need to reload the software in order to see the correct amount in my account. This "time delay" that the software has is the biggest problem I have with FCP. The main reason why I like FTP is because everything is always up to date. On FCP, it takes a while to show accurate chip counts in the leaderboards, your points take 24 hours to show, and so on. I used to play at UB when it was first starting up, and the reason I didn't continue to play there was that money in my account would SOMETIMES not show up even after I won a heads up SnG. I don't keep heavy records on my wins/losses, so I didn't notice that I was being ripped off sometimes until UB had ripped me off about $1200. I kept emailing their support, and was finally given an Excel format of my "log," at which point I had to spend about 2 hours sifting through my results to prove that I had been gypped. I was refunded my money, but that experience made me hate the site.3) Can I save the hand history somewhere?4) Does the background look like you're playing in the middle of a school hallway? Are those lockers in the background? I dunno, it's kind of creepy...5) I love the tournament structures here (especially the heads-up 2000 chip stacks). At FTP, you are given 1500 chips, which was a huge improvement over UB's original 1000 chips. But FCP is even better, with better blind structures as well.6) Customer support - I tried the live support when I had problems cashing out. Maybe it was an anomaly, but my first experience was horrible. I got a representative fairly quickly (within 2 minutes), at which point Rita (the representative) greeted me. I said "Hi" back, and then waited for a response. After a minute, I thought that maybe she didn't know what my problem was, even though I had typed it in the little summary box before you can speak to a representative. So I typed in my problem and waited. After 5 more minutes, during which I typed "Are you there?," she replied, asking me my account name. My account name? I had typed that in in the summary box before, so I was slightly pissed. Anyhow, I gave her my account name, waited 6 more minutes, at which point she asked me my real last name. I responded, and then after another 5 minutes, my account was finally unlocked. It took about half an hour to get through what should have taken a few minutes.7) Cashing out - At FTP, when you cash out, I believe a representative working there has to type some stuff in to approve it, making wait times vary. When I first started playing at FTP, cash outs sometimes took 2 days, but after emailing them constantly, now my cashouts usually process within an hour, and the money appears in my Firepay account within 24 hours. I tried cashing out at FCP, which claims a 24 hour cashout period. The initial process wasn't too bad - you transfer the money from your poker account to the cashier, and then cashout using your PIN. I waited 24 hours, and didn't get an automated email or anything. Is anyone else having trouble cashing out? Are emails usually given?I think a lot of great ideas have been put into FCP's poker room, but as always, since this is the first version of the software, it will probably improve over time. I'll probably stick around because I love the structure of the tournaments.

I've been playing at PokerRoom and other network skins for many years. Perhaps I can answer a few questions.

1) Is there a way to see your opponent's hole cards at showdown like on FTP?
Really, unless they show, the only thing you can do is check the hand history (click the number in the upper-left).
2) I noticed that the $ amount that appears at the bottom of the software in the main lobby isn't accurate. I need to reload the software in order to see the correct amount in my account. This "time delay" that the software has is the biggest problem I have with FCP.
There should be a little "refresh" button in the lower-right corner of the screen. It is identified by two arrows chasing each other in a circular fashion.
3) Can I save the hand history somewhere?
Other than saving the URL, or copying and pasting to another program, I don't believe so.
4) Does the background look like you're playing in the middle of a school hallway? Are those lockers in the background? I dunno, it's kind of creepy...
Yes.
