who is the best card catcher of all time?

Recommended Posts

damn' date=' ppl always got something to say. but when they catch some cards or go on a run its like they censored deserved it or something - or they're suddenly the greatest cardplayer in their basement or wherever they censored play!!!![/quote']i don't catch cards, i get my money in with the best hand. i've played 2 live tourneys and won 1(cash game player). the other i was knocked out on a 3 outer. when i won i did get lucky only because other big stacked donkeys moved in in front of me when i had monsters allowing me to accumulate 65% of the chips by the time we got to the final table. it takes luck to weave your way through MTTs to WIN.

Its an online poker forum, and its the general section.Nobody whose time if of any real value is sitting reading this for hours and hours every day. Stop acting like your time is some great thing not to be "wasted." Especially since the decision is up to you. Nobody makes you read dump topics and polls. You made the choice, take it out on yourself.

no love for the crabler. he probably flopped quads with the k3 heads up, went all in, and was called by pocket 3's. The guy that he was giving the bunny ears in the picture had the 3's. Vote Crabler for being the World Champion of Card Catching 2005.

How Varkoyni, Moneymaker and Nguyen won earn their tournament victories were totally different from each other. In terms of pure card catching, Varkoyni takes the cake because he picked up so many big hands at the right opportunity. Having AK when Tony D went all in with QJ. Having JJ against Shipley AJ. AA against AQ of Rosenblum. Waking up with aces three-handed after Gardner opened up with 10's and Perry re-raised with jacks. Heads up he was picking up all the cards. He did suckout on Scott Gray, but mostly it was card catching.Moneymaker played great poker and some amazing suckouts on his way to the final table most notably against Brenes and Ivey (though you can't blame him for putting the money all in against Ivey). At the final table he played great poker. He never put all the money in with the worst of it (Though he did call Grey and Lester with some marginal hands when they were both pot-comitted to go all-in). Moneymaker never picked up many big hands. Nguyen is a suckout artist. Puts it in with the worst of it and wins.
