Kuge 0
Is this payout structure for tournaments permanent now? Just wondering.[/b]
nritchi3 0
No. Its only for certain tournaments. I was in a 10+1 last week and came 4th with 687 people the stupid 20% structure seriously cut in to my winnings
Juandastyle 0
i wasn't immediately a fan of the new payout structure, and i'm still not. I recently got 17th in a $3 tourney (w00t) and made a measley $29.50. Even the Final Table payouts would have been grim until 4th place! There were about 1800 people in this tourney.I think it's cool that you don't have to beat as many people to make the money in these tourneys now, but on the other hand, what's the point of making the money if it isn't worth it?^ ^
chiefs2 0
Yeah I hate the 20 percent prize pool. The money aint worth it unless you make a final table.
scottyno 0
yes, Im pretty sure its permanent for all NL tournmanets 5+.50 or less, and some of the 10+1, they make it very easy to cash in these tourneys, but if you actually go deep in a tourney it cuts into your winnings bigtime, and if you cash right near the bubble then it doesnt really matter if you have a decent sized bankroll. ajs1281 0
See if they were going to actually implement these structures they should have started with the big Sunday tourney, since so many people satellite into them, the bubble actually would show a nice profit.I dont like them in the smaller tourneys because it creates such a smooth bubble from paying 180-64 isnt that drastic of a change so there is alot more races and bad call/suckouts once you clear the bubble the game becomes even more of a crapshoot. It's almost a competition between the sites to see you can have the biggest guaranteed prize pools and the biggest winner prizes. Look out how pokerroom is advertising the Grand Tournament V, based on how much the winner won in the Grand Tournament IV.

Whatever 1
I don't like it at all. But then again I hardly ever play MTTs.

deadmoney4u 0
It is still hard to make the money and to show something for a 150min+ time investment is better than walking away with nothing.Sure if you get to final tables on a week-in week-out basis then stay away!I am a consistant top 5-10% of the field placer and if i get the buy-in back it's another tourney and that means a lot to me on a limited BR. Petoria 0
20% payout structure is completely worthless.
The Enforcer 0
I only approve of the 20% stucture when the buy in is large enough to make cashing matter. I would say that for tournaments with buyins above $100 or $50 at the least, its a fine idea. But for $3 tourneys, it really is pointless
deadmoney4u 0
don't disrespect the money :eh: :hand:
KowboyKoop 0
It does cut into the winnings, but it is REALLY easy to make cash in those things, it usually takes only two hours at the most in the small buy in 1800+ fields, b/c all the fish push all in all the time and all you have to do is sit back and wait for hands if you want to ensure yourself a cash. That being said, I don't like the payout structure that much really, payouts kinda suck..but whatever.
Goadfish1729 0
It's good for maybe rebuy tournaments, but that's it...
