datamining tip

Recommended Posts

I've been doing some datamining recently, and I've found a way to do it that is easier on your system resources than autoimporting with PT.Open up to ten tables in Party Poker.Leave.When you are done datamining, open up the program folder for PartyPoker and copy all files with extension HHF (hand history file) to some other folder. You must do this before closing Party Poker, although you can do it after you have closed the tables. When you are ready, and preferably when you aren't running anything that uses a lot of RAM, import that files that you copied into PT in the normal way. Some people probably do it this way, but I had been using auto-import to do this. Since auto-importing can really slow my system down, especially with a big database, the above method is now preferred.

i also disliked auto-importing with data-mining, but got around it more simply than this i think.all i do is open up the tables and let 'em go. PT is not running. then when i don't need my computer for a few minutes, i'll just import all the files.the key is to have it set up so your computer automatically transfers the files from one folder to another once they're imported. then you'll have a folder with a ton of already imported files which you can keep or delete, as you wish, and your hand history folder will be emptied after every import.works fine for me. and nice, since auto-importing and all that slows up my porn downloads, which take precendence.here's a site i just found:www.miltontwins.comwill pass along the password once i've finished downloading all the movies, though i'm sure anyone with an iota of computer savvy can find it for themselves.daniel

Here's another thing I just learned about Party. You can open multiple clients at the same time on one computer. To do it, either click on the icon really fast, or highlight the icon with your mouse and then press "enter" a few times rapidly. This will open up multiple party lobbies. You can't log into more than one client at a time, but if you are just datamining, you don't have to log into any of them.Just close out the log in pop ups and you can open up to ten tables from each client. So you should be able to mine an arbitrarily large number of tables (the limit is probably determined by your computer's RAM).I don't know about cryptologic skins, but I have found a lot of useful information on datamining in the software forum at 2+2.

my butt-licking computer can't even handle 10 tables most of the time, but for those of you who own computers that don't completely suck, that is a great tip!
