timwakefield 68
Pokerstars $20 buy-in, 180 person SNG. Down to final 3. Blinds 1k/2k. I am SB with about 60k chips. Button (chipleader) folds. I raise to 8k with 66. BB (about 85k chips) calls.Flop comes A 10 2, two spades. I bet 12k. BB calls.4th street comes 6 of spades. I bet 20k. BB goes all in (putting me all in for my last 25k or so).So do you call? Even if you are somewhat sure he has the flush made, do you call? If I fold then I have 25K, he has 125k, 3rd guy has over 100k. Read on the guy is pretty tight/very aggressive.
Snowman 0
If I added up all the bets correctly then there is around 105k in the pot and you have to call around 25k. So, you have a little more than 4:1 in pot odds.If you are 100% sure he has a flush, then you have 10 outs, which means 3.6:1 odds. So it's a call. Also consider tournament equity. If you fold you will have your work cut out to get back in the game since you will be short stacked against two large stacks. On the other hand if you win you will have a big stack to work with.Depending on your own table image here (if he thought he could trap you and if you have been raising a lot pf), I think it's possible to, at least, include AA, TT and AT in the range of hands he could hold.AA and TT are few combinations so it's the least likely holding, which is good since you're dead to 1 out against those. You're crushing AT, any other ace or any other freak holding.I would call. HoosierAlum 0
Given the way you played the hand, you have to call here.
Jasun Lee 0
i usually lurk, but for some reason i felt the need to post here.if the read on this guy is tight/agg then AA and TT prolly mean preflop reraise. The only reason you would push 66 at this point is to try to hit a set and double up. When the set comes, i think you push. Seems like Ax is the hand you are most likely up against. 2 spades on the flop is tough. and a third on the turn likely freaked him out more than it did you. I just think you take the chance of going broke here... so much in the pot and you only having 12x the bb if you lay down.what did you end up doing?
goose 0
call and at least you cashed lol.
zimmer4141 0
Call and it's not even close.
therrinn 0
You definitely call. Having played a bunch of the 180-man final tables, when you get down to 3 people everyone is making a move with less than premium hands. Yes, its possible that they have the flush (in which case you still have outs), but far more likely the have a high ace or A10.
UNCpoker 0
Err,I would call. On the turn, I probably would have been allin before he could put me allin. He could also possibly have an ace with high spade kicker, hoping the turn scared you and thinking he had outs if you called.

In general, I don't think you can blindly call for pot odds when it is for all of your chips...the odds may be good but you are still an underdog and risking everything. But yes, I called. I wasn't POSITIVE he had the spades, and I had a small shot at it if he did. He had the flush and I didn't fill up on the river...still won $400 for my $20.
