Does anyone ever play this?It is a great game, played just like regular hold'em except hand ranking is exactly like deuce to seven, (aces are high, straights and flushes count against) Played No-Limit style, combines all the fun of hold'em with all the aggrivation of Kansas City, we could call it Kansas City Hold'EmI bet DN loves this idea. What do the rest of ya think? Can we get a site and/or casino to spread this?

Problem is that you'd be playing the board too often, there would be (basically) no freerolling that makes stud hilo or omaha hilo fun, no fish would ever play any pair or two cards 9 or higher which takes out the reason why lowball and split games are profitable...there are more reasons, but there's a few.

wouldn't the game just boil down to who had the lowest two pocket cards?seems like it wouldn't quite work.
Pretty much, except for counterfeiting. It would combine the boredom of watching baseball on TV with the aggrivation of some donk playing J3 to a raise beating your 23 when a 2 spikes the river.

you are an idiot is the correct syntaxand thank you for the input.Once again I dont think many of you are getting it, postion and betting is what would determine winners not just the cards. I think its a great game and would love to see it spread.

Only in as much as regular hold 'em comes down to who has the two highest cards. It works better if you add in the condition that each player must use both hole cards. There are a lot of interesting scenarios that can come up from the game. In a sense, you know which draws your opponent is on. If you have a flush draw with a strong low on the flop, you know that your opponent is probably going to win it 1/3 times. He may also have pair outs, in the sense that if _you_ pair, you lose - but not always, since he may already have a higher pair.

You dont honestly believe that, do you? No matter what the optimal level of tightness is, there will always be people who play looser than they ought to be. In early position for this game, you should probably be limiting your hand range to 5 high or better. Someone who plays 6/8s under the gun would be a fool, but do you not think people will play it? I think that if anything, this type of game would be juicier than others if a site were to introduce it, simply because no one would have been able to adapt to it yet.
